Talked to Georgette
- She admitted to having overdone it on Saturday
- She confided that she's worried about her sister
- She said she feels better today (as far as the headache goes)
Her sister's engaged to a man who, from the sounds of it, doesn't deserve her. "He wants her to cook and clean and do dishes but doesn't appreciate her, she says."
Georgette told Dorothy she needs to get out of the situation, but she won't because he claims to love her.

Called Grandma and, after talking to her for a while, asked to speak to Michael.

- "The Babysitter's Seduction" (if I see it, that's OK, but if I don't, that's OK,too)
- "Seven Deadly Sins" (of the three, I don't want to miss this four-hour film)

Calling it a night (dreamfree? I can only hope-although their presence might mean I'm finally getting ober the traumas from over the summer; at least, that seems to have been the pattern in the past-or, perhaps it's just an indicator I need to try something else as far as stress relief goes)

At least three Radio stations played Christmas music intermittently last night
Used some to wrap up side b of tape fourteen
"This is the time for miracles."
Won't be on as much; want to make tapes of Christmas music(those I made from two years ago were clearly rushed, and therefore unsatisfactory)

Jazz, getting Grandma to help you is a great plan. I have a few more, too.
I'm not completely ready yet -- I got sick on Turkey Day, and I'm still pulling back up, but I do want you to be able to play in as many Public Tourneys as you want, but let's toss this around in RJ's blog, and come up with some ideas.
On our team alone, I host two tourneys, Deborah hosts three, Anton hosts 2-3, Iceman hosts 1, and there are so many fun tourneys out there, so I want you to be able to play in as many as you want.
If Grandma is the solution, I can just post links, or even just post the tourney numbers. Does she/do you know how to register for a tourney? You have to register for every single one, which is daunting and confusing, but there is no way around that. But once you are registered, you're all set.
Also, you will want to save the tourneys you are playing in, in something like your Favorites file. That's where I keep mine, so once I'm logged in to one, I can just go down the list from tourney to tourney.
If you trusted me, or if you trusted someone in here, anyone at all you trusted, we could do this for you and then turn it all back over to you. And this is the part I want to get you and others talking about and brainstorming.
That solution would require turning your FT account over to someone just long enough to get you registered in every single tourney, and then turning it back over to you, since a password for every single tourney is required. So is a valid email address, but that's not a big deal. Just the email address is required; not the password to the email address.
I absolutely would and could do this for you, and you absolutely could trust me, but I don't know how you would feel about this.
So let's brainstorm over in The Cowboy's blog and get all your friends involved, and see if any of the solutions we come up with sound good to you.
I want to be certain you feel good about your many options for getting this done for you, and that you feel safe, safe, safe about how we get this done.
You will have so much fun, and we want you playing in all our tourneys with us!
I'm going to post this in RJ's blog, too, so we can start brainstorming now.

Hope you feel better, Elle
Sue came up to bring up some magazines and discuss my rent increase in January
I do indeed know all about registering-Grandma helped me sign up for a tourney that's no longer available (but as to whether asking her to help is the best solution, I have my doubts-she says she wants to help me as much as she can, but sometimes it seems like the exact opposite)

Currently reading this:
http://www.caribousmom.com/2008/04/06/the-tenderness-of-wolves-book-review/.
“Stef Penney won the 2006 Costa Book Award for this first novel. Set in 1867 in the wilderness of Ontario”
“Penney’s cinematic experience as a screen writer is evident in the novel’s structure: short, tension
filled chapters from alternating points of view.”
“The Tenderness of Wolves is not a simple crime mystery.”
“Her skill lies in drawing the reader into the story through a gradual awareness of the facts as tension thickens
between key characters.”
http://www.bookbrowse.com/reviews/index.cfm/book_number/1992/the-tenderness-of-wolves.
“Laurent Jammett had been a voyageur for the Hudson Bay Company before an accident lamed him four years earlier. The same accident afforded him the little
parcel of land in Dove River, land that the locals called unlucky due to the untimely death of the previous owner.”
“It is Mrs. Ross's knock on the door of the largest house in Caulfield that launches the investigation.”
“In the wake of such violence, people are drawn to the crime and to the township -- Andrew Knox, Dove River's elder statesman; Thomas Sturrock, a wily American
itinerant trader; Donald Moody, the clumsy young Company representative; William Parker, a half-breed Native American and trapper who was briefly detained
for Jammett's murder before becoming Mrs. Ross's guide. But the question remains: do these men want to solve the crime or exploit it?”
“A fascinating, suspense-filled adventure, a refreshing contrast to the conventional murder mystery.”

Sue came up and tightened screw, though now it looksas if it's bent or something
Grandma's going to bring her superglue on Saturday
Mom wants to know when she should bring the stuff for the bazaar so I'll call Sue tomorrow
I know it starts at 10
Redid side a of tape 14, as part of it sounded stupid; on side b again, and over the next few days I'll be listening to music at intermittent periods
Just heard one of the radio guys saying something about how we shouldn't complain that it's hot here because "think how those people in the tropics feel."
Oh, just remembered that next year Mom's going on a cruise the week of Thanksgiving

Rough night-hard to sleep with my back aching and my shoulders hurting. That's what I get for falling :( (fell on my left foot, but had to use my arms to get up, which wouldn't have been so bad had I not, the day my foot fell out of the bike strap, (a) pulled something in the back; and (b) done the same to my shoulder. It's always the combination that proves problematic.)

Somebody help-got "Wasn't Me" or whatever it's called stuck in my head. (At least I no longer scream when I hear it-I used to do that in years past when a song I didn't like came on)

You're going to think I'm strange, but in the past I used to play the song over and over, as loud as I could, just because it drove me nuts (it helped me mask my verbal reactions around others, if nothing else)
And I was right about the title (and artist):
http://music.yahoo.com/videos/.../It+Wasn't+Me--2...
I don't think I'm offended by the lyrics-not exactly (there are some songs I can't stand to hear, not even for a second, because they *are* offensive [the one about "do the Helen Keller" springs to mind-Mom agrees, and normally she listens to songs that are very catchy, even if I don't, simply because they *are* catchy]. I don't think she's ever heard this one, but at one time Edward told me he liked it-thankfully, that was after I'd learned to hide the fact that I still don't know whether I like it or not)
I have a "love/hate relationship" with some of these songs

Accidentally knocked the computer keyboard off the shelf for a few seconds (trying to retrieve the mouse, which had fallen behind, and my arm must have hit the keyboard in such a way... that never happened before)
