I just went into the "feedback center" because, when I clicked on the "member quizzes" link for my team, for the first time ever I got the message that "database temporarily unavailable." Weird
So I typed in a "query" and got the automatic response from the system saying, "Thank you. Your request has been forwarded to the appropriate person, and you should receive a response in the next few days."
We shall see...

I can't believe that damned holiday (excuse me) is this week already. Bah humbug indeed. I'm in full-blown panic mode as of yesterday (or was it the day before?) :(
I still need to try on my dress pants for that luncheon, and I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth it

Mom and Ruth were over for abit. Ruth gave me a box of dark chocolates (some have raspberry filling, some peppermint, and some chocolate.
Mom read me some Christmas cards, including one from Audrey thanking me for being a good neighbor (that one made me cry because I haven't been very nice in the things I've said about her, and if she were to hear me I'd be so ashamed.
Grandma's not coming up until Wednesday as she has a lot of things to do before Sunday. "I have too much stuff to do to be gone two days." 'Whatever.'

Started a tape for Grandma (Christmas gift) though as upset as I am with her I'm surprised I even started
Tomorrow, I call Zweier's, and hopefully finish the tape. Then I have Mom's and Tiffany's to do, and I want to record some Christmas music.
Just when Mom will be able to help me with my cards has yet to be determined
And Mom got me some things from Sam's Club including lotion, toothpaste and Jimmy Dean's Breakfast Sandwiches.

This must be the first Christmas I don't want to go to Grandma's. There's some speculation as to whether Michael will be home, and is the first time I can remember thinking this holiday will be marred in some way.
Like last year, Mom has a cold )instead of a GI virus, she has a sinus infection; I never knew it starts as a cold, which is contagious)
I don't know what I'm sensing, but I clearly am. I know one day soon I'll find out, and I almost don't want to :(

What a joy Christmas is - and any other celebration that puts family members together, with no escape, for more than a day. Instincts and premonitions, I find, frequently offer invaluable protection.

Bad news already: tried on my dress pants, and they're tight (makes me wish I wasn't going anywhere on Wednesday)
Almost had a panic attack when I put in my order for a delivery, and was told the groceries would be delivered Wednesday (fortunately, after I called back was able to get it bumped up to tomorrow)
Up to eleven small chapters in part 1 of the prologue of "Village Streets"

The other day, Mom noticed a "weird-looking man" reading between the double doors. Nobody knew who he was, so the ladies told Momto hurry and shut the door. "There's no way you can shut that door, as it closes on its own." There is a rule about not letting people in the building if the're unfamiliar, but if someone really wanted to get in...
I ordered Marco's tonight: a small sandwich and corn nuggets for tonight, and a salad for tomorrow. It cost $13.50 (and I *did* recognize the voice of the delivery guy).

The label on Grandma's tape case doesn't say anything; it's just a strip of labeling tape (I tried to get a label out, but no letters came out)
The tape itself has a label that says, instead of "Nana," "nna." Close enough I guess.

Mom and I made a plan last night that she'll come over tonight to help me pick out an outfit for tomorrow (with hindsight, i realize the only reason I was irritated with Grandma on Sunday was because she said Mom would have to help with my outfit because she couldn't spare any more time for me than Wednesday).
Last night I had a list of Christmas cards I was mailing out, complete with addresses. This year, I'm just going to distribute cards amongstthe people here who I have apartment numbers for, and address one to the one person who sent me one. I'm really not in the mood for anything more than that.

What do you do when it's too hot in the apartment to keep the window closed, but it's too cold to open it? Wear warm clothes and air out the apartment.

I have to wonder if "Village Streets" will ever be finished, as the more I write the more complicated it becomes and therefore even harder to write
