What do you think are the best names of bands? I like the name "The Temper Trap", but I don't really know why. What about you?

They've had a few good songs but I just love the band name.

Are we talking favorite bands, or favorite band names?

It appears that some people have just gone ahead and posted their favorite bands.

My favorite bands might well include the Rolling Stones, for instance, but I don't think it is a particularly memorable name. For that matter, the Beatles is a downright terrible name! (IMO) (You might as well name a band the Cockroaches!)

For names, I like:

The Mendoza Line (baseball term for the threshold of incompetence)

and, of course,

The Four Skins
