Whether we're now in our 20's or 70's or somewhere in between we all had favorite TV shows when we were younger.

What are some of yours?

Neither. They were both ditzes who didn't make me laugh. Loved Jim Backus (Mr. Howell....he was hilarious), and I thought the professor was a 'babe'. Ok, so I always had a thing for older men....and in this case, MUCH older!

Blood: I had a cross-eyed cat when I was a kid, that I had named after that lovable lion.

C30 When I was a kid - we didn't HAVE a TV, just a radio. I was well into my teens before a TV sat in our room!

At the end, when the letters went back, I used to shout at them: A goes down, N goes down... and that bit's missing. I'll just have to pretend. Time to go home: time to go home...

I used to watch Andy Pandy too, and The Woodentops and Bill and Ben (didn't rate the remake). Oh, and Tales from the Riverbank, and the original Magic Roundabout. All on a black and white television!

lesley153 I didn't look at the remake. :(

From The Telegraph, 4 October 1996:

' Castleford in West Yorkshire hopes to pay tribute to 82-year-old Hilda Brabban, who planted the word "flobadob" on the lips of succeeding generations.

' "I think it's a great idea," Mrs Brabban said yesterday. She wrote the Bill and Ben stories for her younger brothers, William and Benjamin, when the family lived in the town 70 years ago.

' Their mother would always cry: "Was it Bill or was it Ben?" when one of them was naughty. That became a catchphrase of the stories. Little Weed was based on her sister Phyllis, the youngest of six children and "flobadob" was based on the sound when one of the boys broke wind in the bath. '

Callie, I bought a Pufnstuf video a few months ago. The charactors: Jimmy, Witchie-Poo, Freddy the flute, Cling and Clang, and of course Pufnstuf! It was so much fun to see it again. :)

Yes to Rag, Tag and Bobtail! Also remember some of VM's such as Bonanza and Fireball XL5. They're starting to come back to me now! The Virginian, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Doctor Who - I was so terrified of the daleks. Also White Horses, Blue Peter and Magpie.
