Apologies to 'The Sound of Music' but i would like to provide a counterpoint to the thread, small but annoying things.
It is easy to find something to complain about,
but what about the small things that give us pleasure, day to day experiences that make you smile and give a lift to your day.
I'll start out with a couple,
getting up early enough in the morning to actually watch the sun rise, and the quietness of a sunday morning.

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Puppies and dogs cold noses n wagging tails, cats purring with contentment, a summer evening sitting in the garden around a barbecue with my husband. Early mornings when I get up and everybody including dogs are asleep - those are a few of me favourite things.

I'm with PaulM and watching the grandchildren playing sports (or dance recitals, talent shows, etc.) and also going for a run in the morning when there's still a crispness in the air but everything around you is blossoming.

My husband - especially when we hang out at home on a Sunday with no plans. My nephew, LOVE him. Sour cream and onion crinkle crisps. Smarties - the English ones, not the funny Norwegian ones. A cold, cold glass of champagne. ETc....

Time to bump this thread to the top again; it's such a pleasant topic.

When the spring flowering bulbs in my garden appear and the butterflies and bees come to dine on them.
