My team has a post where, every once and a while, we pop in and say what song is currently playing on our ipod/mp3/radio/etc. Whatever is on right then, is what you post. :-)

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

lesley153 Ooh she is good. And I've never heard of her. Enjoyed it, found other things to listen to. Here she is, live, singing "Is your love big enough?"

Back in a bit when I've listened to the two new ones you just posted. By the way, what did the talking head find fault with?

It actually wasn't that bad. It kept saying she has a wonderful voice but she sings about too many melancholy issues. Well sing on girl. You are A+ in my book.

lesley153 Melancholy? So what! Even if it were true, and I'm not convinced.
Have another half an hour of her for luck.

She's only 22 and must have huge potential. She made me think of Corinne Bailey Rae - no idea why - who isn't bad now but was dire when she started. If CBR can progress from making my ears bleed to quite good in ten years, goodness knows where this one could end up. Sky's the limit, I reckon.

lesley153 Afterthought - just occurred to me, these three songs are all about death, but nobody dismissed Robbins for being melancholy.

I'm just now finding out that Scott McKenzie has died. I always liked that song. Thanks lesley.

Marty Robbins was one of my dad's favorites. Brought back memories.

One song I liked a lot from him when I was a kid was this one.

lesley153 Sorry to be the bearer of sad news.

Thank you for Stampede - I hadn't heard that one. I didn't know there was a sequel to El Paso either. Here's Feleena:

When did this brilliant and beautifully-sung storytelling get replaced by the nasal my dog done died and my wife done left me?

lesley153 Radiohead? My son's Year 4 teacher was Thom Yorke's aunt. Where shall I sit to sign autographs?

I love the breakdowns in that song Rick. The first coming at 1:57.

For some reason, I don't know why, the beginning of the song reminded me of something I hadn't heard in awhile. Remember this song from "Silence of the Lambs"?

When I first watched the movie I thought Buffalo Bill had good taste in music.
