My team has a post where, every once and a while, we pop in and say what song is currently playing on our ipod/mp3/radio/etc. Whatever is on right then, is what you post. :-)

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Just discovered this band, they're called SaturdaySun. They're amazing. Little known, but their music is beautiful. The lead singer has a stunning voice. The first link is what I'm listening to now, but I like the scenery in the second video, so I'll share that as well.

I remember the first time I watched the video to this tender song "These Are the Days of Our Lives". Pretty emotional. Especially being a Queen fan. I came upon this snippet just a few moments ago and welled up.

Greatguggly This sounds nothing like anything the Rolling Stones. It's just a short, very addictive instrumental that they left off of Exile on Main St..

Sorry friends. On a Rush kick. The band has been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year and it's long overdue. Long overdue. So jam to this:

Greatguggly Geddy Lee's voice just grinds on me. The band is great and he's a fine bass player but I can't take the squealy voice.

I've had quite a few debates with close friend over the years about Lee's voice. I don't mind listening to him. He only played that voice for the first six albums. Again, I don't have a problem with it. Especially when you're with friends at 3:00 AM on a saturday morning and you're 19. And this is on your box:

Greatguggly I love "YYZ". I think I mentioned it on the instrumentals thread. They're incredibly tight. I mean, I know they've played that song at least hundreds of times but, my God, can you get ANY closer to exactly like it sounds on record?

Greatguggly I lived this song for a while. Well, minus the going to Mexico and getting in trouble and all that.

Greatguggly This song was an inspiration to me. Still love it 24 years later.
