My team has a post where, every once and a while, we pop in and say what song is currently playing on our ipod/mp3/radio/etc. Whatever is on right then, is what you post. :-)

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Just a couple of years later, this gem from Van Halen graces our ears. I chose this video because of the awesome Harley Davidson sounding drums at the beginning, which is lost in the sanctioned video:

But here is the cool music video I remember watching:

I mentioned Cowboy Junkies way back on post# 220 lesley. If you havent't listened to "Sun Comes Up, It's Tuesday Morning" go to that post. That band was pretty important to my ears back in the late '80s and early 90's. I Still love them.

Greatguggly Love me some CJ's and love me some Joss Stone. Didn't know this was originally a White Stripes song but I can definitely hear it now.

I heard a faint hint of Led Zep at the end of that clip. I think it comes from this song.

The British are so. . . .British, aren't they though?

Even these guys are, "We're British. And if you like Rock and Roll, you'll like us."

If you don't. Piss off.

lesley153 So you did, Bernard - I missed that. Must have been listening to Joshua Bell!

Listened now, liked it. Beautiful voice and very subtle and satisfying lyrics.

Greatguggly I love "Ball and Biscuit". Actually I don't think I've ever heard a White Stripes song I don't like. Love the Zep, of course. And if Maynard isn't a genius, he's close. I just watched a video of him being interviewed by Joe Rogan. He talked mostly about his wineries and his intelligence really shined through.

Tennessee Blues---Steve Earle, another musical genius. This song makes me shiver, it's so good. I highly recommend the album that this song starts. It's called "Washington Square Serenade". A friend gave me a copy of the CD before I knew much about him. It just sat in my collection for over a year. When I finally listened, I kicked myself for not listening sooner.

lesley153 Turtles - Happy Together - with a video more prancingly cretinous than any of the cretinously prancing videos of the Beatles and Monkees put together. Song's fun, though.
