My team has a post where, every once and a while, we pop in and say what song is currently playing on our ipod/mp3/radio/etc. Whatever is on right then, is what you post. :-)

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Our great-niece is staying with us this weekend. She is five. She snuck into 'my' room. I have all of the things in there that are precious to me yet not to my wife or apparently the rest of the world. Which is absolutely fine with me.

Anyway our niece came out to the living room holding my LP of Black Sabbath's "Master of Reality". She asked what it was. I asked her to give it to me and then told her that it was a record and it had music on it. She then said it was the biggest CD she had ever seen! :^)

This is why the original version of this track by Bon Iver will always be better than Birdy's IMO. So much emotion was poured in to this, and if you know how tough his life was when he first wrote the album this appeared in, you'd understand why. He was practically crying near the end. Such a great musician. Birdy mearly made the song nicer to listen to, while ruining half the meaning of the song at the same time.

Tame Impala- "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards". Reminds me a lot of The Beatles and John Lennon, especially "Magical Mystery Tour", "Revolver" and "Sgnt Pepper".

Greatguggly Any Tom Waits fans? I think he's about as close to genius as a musician can get.

Christmas music! "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" sung by Frank Sinatra. The more mellow, melancholic version without the "hand your shining star" substitution.

Geminin09 I love listening to old school r & b music such Troop. TLC. New Edition. To name a few. That type of music is not the way it used to be now. I love the new school but there is nothing like old school.
