Urg! The only problem I can see with a quiz per sonnet is that a lot of the metaphors and subject matter can be very much up to reader interpretation. One sonnet may be about nature to some, but temporality to others...and love to others...and life to others.

Hmmm, interesting, I had not thought of that.

I will stick with just Sonnet 1 for now, as it is already written. I will do some thorough research before continuing on. If it does not look plausible, I might have only one quiz submitted for sonnet 1. We'll have to wait and see.

My quiz about a Shakespearean Sonnet (I NEVER thought I'd say that...) is online!

Re Looney Tune's "And Literature editors will appreciate the absence of vampires in the works of Shakespeare"
HOW I agree with that! I'm sooooo sick about stories and television and movies about those long fanged idiots.
And Shakespeare's sonnets are absolutely exquisite. Pure and beautiful poetry. 73 is my favourite.
Half were written to a young man, but not romantically so. It was the fashion then to write poetry to both men and women. Courtly love and all that. He was urging him to hurry up and have children.
Soryy for waffling - but I truly love his sonnets. They're an acquired taste though, as is all Shakespeare's work.

Oh dear, I just went and reread number 73. Now I feel a bit teary. It's just so lovely.

"Long-fanged idiots"
That made me laugh too much. It makes me want to write a quiz with that as the title. Obviously, I won't. The title alone wouldn't make it past the other editors. ;)

You never know, you may get one with a sense of humour :)

Unfortunately, editors also have to bear in mind the importance of not offending players who may not have as well-developed a sense of humor. Insults, humorous or otherwise, are almost certainly not going to be accepted.
Much as I love the title.

I wonder if vampires ever go to the dentist? That'd be a funny film. A vampire with a fang-ache. They could call it "Pangs in Fangs"

I thought vampires are only allowed to go about at night (other than in Twilight). If that's the case, the dental clinic might be closed before the vamp comes out. H'm, obviously those long toothed idiots aren't up to standing all night below a lady's balcony!

Not all vampires follow this rule. ;)

I wouldn't say so. If I recall, Polidori's original Vampyre was out during the day.
Established figures have to undergo new changes sometimes; it's what makes them fresh and new. Vampires not being able to go into sunlight is more recent than you think.
