Etta James recorded IMO what is the singularly sexiest recording in history. Her singing of "At Last" on that studio recording was an absolute sensual surrender to the music, and couples everywhere have had kisses intensified exponentially if they had them during the playing of that song. And then the fact that she brought us "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You", and you have the soundtrack to a REALLY good evening. Rest in Peace, Etta, I will miss you, and thankfully your music lives on.

Sorry, I had recently used "All I Wanna Do is Make Love to You" by Heart in one of our team games, I had that on my mind. The proper title should be "I Just Wanna Make Love to You".
And perhaps there was a connection between her and Johnny Otis, the person who brought her to the forefront. Thanks, Johnny, for that. Rest in Peace also.

They died within a few days of one another. Very weird. Also, Etta had a birthday coming up on the 25th. She would have been 74. Rest in peace, Etta & Johnny.

I agree with you, Spaudrey. Etta's "At Last" is indeed one of the sexiest songs ever recorded. Both she and Johnny Otis will be sadly missed.

I like that song, "At Last", Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweeds' daughter sang it to them when they married back in October for their first dance as husband and wife.
