Ha ha... No idea! I had no idea that I had even been competing for one when I won mine this evening.

I am trying right now, and it is hard.
Well done on a new innovation.

I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but in my scores/standings in the veterans section, I'm listed as having 6 badges in the three categories. I actually have 8. No big deal, and again probably makes no difference, just wondering if I'm misreading something (which is very probable). Very cool set of challenges, tho!

It is a challenge - and a little frustrating! Seems just when I think I am having a good round, one of those darn 9/10 happens and makes me pound my keyboard! lol

@ doorsfan58 - two (Above Average and something else) of the eleven badges don't count, it's like that for everyone.
The game is a nice idea, and the badges, like any other challenges, for some players are a piece of cake, for others - a real challenge.

I'm finding it difficult, but definately fun, and loving talking about it and reading the scored list. I didn't realise how competitive I was until I saw the tri badge, it's very pretty!

It will be hard for me to get all four, because I am not a fast player. The "Piece of Cake" is always my downfall.

The Triathlon Winner is difficult in the Veteran division. You are up against the proven elite. I'll just have to wait until they all have a bad day.
And as for the Iron Brain, I reckon most of us will get there, someday :o)

The badgelet is easy enough and IB is just a typical grind. The other 2 will be harder for me because the Mixed Hourly is my worst of the hourlies - almost always come across some Sport or American-centric question(s) and I'm notably quite rubbish on those. But, no rush. :)

I find it quite difficult. Maybe I'll just start taking notes and memorizing the answers. Sounds a bit desperate, but I have gone to more extreme lengths than that in order to get a new badge!

If I can win these, anyone can, because I'm a slow player. The only game I find challenging is the hard game but I've only managed 6 badges because I'm too slow. It'll be many moons before I see the IB, if ever.

Interesting responses on this thread.
I find my weakness to be the fact that my scores are inconsistent on the Mixed and Hard games. I'm usually pretty solid on the Easy game.
I do like this contest. You have to prove yourself before you can even work toward the Iron Brain badge.
I'm sure one of these times though, the stars will align themselves just right and I'll actually win that hour's contest. :-)

I'd like to see different requirements for badges.
Triathlon Winner with a score of 2196 pts. in the Amateurs Division (last hour) is simply a joke.
I can play my butt off in the Veterans, but I won't be winning that badge for another month at least, not even with my best score of 2827 pts (I completely neglected the Mixed game in the last 18 months, so it's always my downfall), while a complete newbie (2 days on FT, who doesn't even have "Achievement: Piece of Cake" yet) comes and grabs it without any effort.
Maybe there could be a minimum (~2400-2500 pts.) required, in addition to 8 players, to be elegible for Triathlon Winner badge?
Amateurs could instead receive some tiny Tri Points (5 for the winner) towards the Iron Brain, because this badge will take them a lot of time, anyway.

It didn't turn out to be quite as difficult as I thought to get the "Iron Brain" badge. Just play a lot, and grind out the points.
