Tell me please... Any of you that have the '6789 Point Precision' badge, did you win it 'accidentally' so to speak or was it a planned campaign?

Yesterday I played for many hours and when I'd finished I checked my profile and the points today field told me that I'd scored exactly 6789 points and at that stage I stopped playing. Imagine my dismay when, a few hours later after the daily update had completed, that I discovered that all my hard work and concentration had been for diddly-squat as the system had awarded me extra points!! As we are never (as far as I'm aware) given an accurate update as to how many additional points we have scored, how can we possibly factor these in?

Is this one of THE hardest badges to win and is there a secret formula that I should know about?

It took me three weeks to get this badge and believe me I slaved for it! I found the best way was to build up my daily score to around the 6,500 mark and then leave the hourly games alone. I played quizzes to get as close as possible and then the "instaquizzes" to get the small number of points I still needed. I found the zero challenge for the impossible game just as infuriating, took me 42 games to get that one!

Hi Blood.... That is exactly what I did! I played the hourly quizzes all day up until around six and a half thousand points, made sure that I had a nine as my last digit and then played the Quick Quizzes just to make up the last hundred or so points... I was totally gutted to see that I'd been awarded more grrrrrr lol

I've given up on these two badges. One day I may just do it by accident.

Both the 12345 and 6789 badges are quite tricky. Strangely, a week or so before I won the 6789 badge, I accidently scored 16789 just by chance!
Although you do get the hourly game points added on at the end of those respective hours, the daily points won't count till the next day so you don’t have to worry about them. So as long as you quit the hourly games a while before you hit your figure you should be fine. I played various games and kept a track on my last digit when about a thousand away. When you get a ----4 or ----9 you're in good shape for the 6789 badge. You can them play a series of normal quizzes to get closer knowing that you will be adding in multiples of 5 to the score (15, 30, 45 etc. plus 20pts for rating) and then stop when you're a a hundred or so away. For the final bit play the quick quiz game and add tens to your score until you’re spot on.
The same holds for the 12345 badge - get to a score which ends with a ----5 or ----0.
Let me know if this doesn't make sense!

SisterSeagull has it spot on for how i did them both. Get close making sure your not going to be awarded bonus points for the hourly game. Then use the Instaquiz (click on games on the top of the screen and they are towards the bottom) think one of them awards 3 points per answer and one of them 2 points.

Congratulations. I was going to suggest my method of looking at the requirements, deciding that it was far too much hassle, totally forgetting about it and then seeing it drop into my mail box a couple of weeks later! You probably had more of a sense of achievement when you got yours though.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrgggggggh!!!! LOL

I have just spent the last seven hours solidly playing HTML quizzes to get the '12345' badge. Believe it or not, I was 230 points away from the total when I started playing the instant or quick quiz games and, due to a moment of foolishness (miscounting ha ha) I found myself at 12325 points! Of course, we can only bank a minimum of 30 points per session, so I ended up going over by ten measley points... Oh well, I suppose I could keep going for the Endurance Badge but the shine has gone off of it somehow *sob*

SisterSeagull - I so wish you had not played on!

There is a way to score small scores in order to hit your total - in this case you needed to score another 20 points.

A good method is to play 'Fill Me In' - they award one tenth of you score as FT points, therefore you need to score 200 (or just over).
- Play the game and start a stopwatch as you click go.
- Answer 3 questions correct (fairly easy to choose 3 that you're sure of) and leave the remainder blank.
- Wait until the clock is between 95-100 seconds then submit.
You will score between 200 to 205 for the quiz, which will be rounded to 20 FT points.

You can use a similar method to score any small total. Because it will be a low score you shouldn't get any bonus FT points.

At this juncture, would it be acceptable to use a good old anglo-saxon expletive? lol
