Subject: The Adventures of Bob

Meet Bob.
Bob is a single, white male aged 18-49. He's the everyman. He can be from anywhere you'd like.
In fact, he is anyone you'd like.

For this challenge, authors will get to take Bob where they want. They can give him a specific view on life, interests, and even a back-story. A participant for this challenge will need to claim Bob and write a quiz in which Bob is the star. When that quiz is online, Bob is placed back up for grabs. The next author will have a chance to expand upon Bob's story with their own quiz. These quizzes can go into any available category, even the same category more than once-- we just can't double up on the same subcategory. In other words, two quizzes should not be about Bob's fascination with football or Bob in Mexico.

You may want to sway the author who follows your submission into a particular direction. If, in your quiz conclusion, you allude to the next adventure that Bob must take, the proceeding author must somehow incorporate it in some way-- maybe not to the fullest extent, but in some way.

Remember, all quizzes and questions on the site should make the fullest attempt to stand alone; you should not be basing later questions on Bob's previous experiences unless alluding to it in passing. It should not have significant bearing on the questions, answers, or info.

The goal is to create fifteen quizzes, each one shaping and defining Bob. An author may only write one quiz for this challenge. No reclaiming Bob.

Just got a note back from the category ed I contacted and they don't like questions with Bob, because if the questions are selected for hourly games, players will ask "Who's Bob?"

It was then suggested I change all the questions (which involves answers and info) to fit it into a different category. Sigh. In other words, throw out all the work I've done (the entire quiz) and start again. SIGH.

Can't you keep the quiz - remove Bob from it - and just submit it as one of your normal ones, instead of throwing it all out?

I might be able to keep it, just take all references to Bob out of the questions and just put a sentence in the II, intro and conclusion. Wonder if that would work?

I only wrote to the ed to see if he would allow the title because I know the sports cat has strict guidelines on titles. It was suggested I make the quiz on sportsmen called Bob instead.

I'm not doing a quiz on sportsmen called Bob, although possibly in the murky future. Since sports is out, and following the quidelines, that leaves me with war movies or video games. Neither choice gives me a warm, fuzzy but looks like that's the go. I'll make a start tonight but I don't think I'll get it done in a hurry. Sorry guys.

Remember, the quiz doesn't need to be wholly about any of those things-- you may simply choose to include one question about it, or mention it in passing, or link it distantly. Maybe the previous author didn't really care for Bob and her judgment is lacking-- maybe he doesn't like war movies at all. Your quiz could be about how people misperceive Bob. ;)
