Speaking about timing issues, I am currently watching the 15th episode of Glee Season 3. Seen it yet, Kyle?

Nope-- playing catch-up on a bunch of shows and hoping to get back into the swing of things. I think the only recent show I'm caught up on is 'The Killing'...and 'Community'.

Oh. You really need to see "On My Way". "Cough Syrup" is such a great song. Glee Wiki polls have it as the best song in the episode...
Big Brother is a good sequel to that...

I think I have a headache - but will wait to see how it all works out.
I do have one query though. What if we've used up the ten templates and none have been accepted yet, but the clues keep coming in.
Speaking of which I'd better go clear the decks.

We don't get Big Brother here any longer. They went too far with sleazy behaviour and the show was cancelled.

And now, unfortunately, Channel 9 is resurrecting it. Prepare for some god awful television.

With Channel Nine, they'll probably shoot it at a football match.

Wesley and Kyle, can the clue threads be made sticky please? Otherwise one of those threads might wander off to the second page.

Now that the rules have been set out, I'll be ready for "The Twelve Tasks of Funtrivia".

Can I just check - It hasn't started yet? And we come to the chatboards not the forum? Hate to sound stupid but the first time I've done anything like this :)

I wonder who will be the first to get picked for an Editors Choice? I am sure there will be plenty of quality quizzes coming out during the next few weeks.

I'd just like to clarify a couple of things here if I can because my brains is fried at the moment.
We can't see the clues until we click on the link that starts the timer, is that right?
If we aren't sure about that first clue, can we then look at the second clue so we can decide on which one we would like to do?
So the timer starts when one of the two teammates looks at a clue, but what if the other person would rather write that particular quiz?
Is there somewhere we need to say who's writing the quiz and which letter they've chosen?
I know it will sort itself out like the race, but at least I had an idea about how the race worked. Not to mention the fact that I'm impatient. Also, if there was a detour in the race, we got to see both clues and were then able to choose who was writing and which topic.

---We can't see the clues until we click on the link that starts the timer, is that right?
Right. Your timer the instant you go to the clue (task) thread. This ensures maximum fairness - you are timed from the point in time you are able to think about your task.
---If we aren't sure about that first clue, can we then look at the second clue so we can decide on which one we would like to do?
Yes. Your time will be determined by the clue you are actually writing for. So let's say you look at my clue at 6pm, think about it and decide to rather do Kyle's. You access his clue at 7:30 pm and submit your quiz based on Kyle's clue at 11 pm. You will be scored 3 hours 30 minutes.
As a second example - you could even start mine from the 6pm clue (NOT checking Kyle's), work until midnight and then submit. You get it approved quickly but decide you'd rather not be stuck with 6 hours and next day, you grab Kyle's clue at 6:30, submit at 9:15 and improve your score to 2 hours and 45 mins.
(We will automatically evaluate any such cases with your best interests in mind. If you write more quizzes than needed, we will always score the configuration that gains you the best overall time.)
---So the timer starts when one of the two teammates looks at a clue, but what if the other person would rather write that particular quiz?
It does not matter. We expect teammates to work together and share information, so once anyone in the team knows the clue, your timer is started. Otherwise the system could be abused - A looks at the clue and tells B what it is. B writes the quiz offline, then starts the timer, creates the template, pastes in the data and is done in 4 minutes 21 seconds.
--- Is there somewhere we need to say who's writing the quiz and which letter they've chosen?
There is no need to do so in advance (we'll be checking new releases as they go online) although we appreciate if you'd make it easy for us by announcing your quizzes in this thread once they are online. (This will also enable us to check quickly and give you a second chance should you accidentally write something that doesn't qualify).

I've taken to drinking Red Bull in preparation for this challenge. Unfortunately there's no physical resemblance to Demi Moore.

I know the Sprint begins on the 15th, but so long as you don't click the hints link, you don't need to start right away, right? Like you could begin work on the first clue a month later. Would that work?
