This is a good question to ask, as I asked what the names meant long ago on the forums (but a lot of different people hang out here anyway so needed both) but asking what made you choose them was something which I never thought of and was a fascinating addition to the meanings.
Glad I inspired it, I think when learning anything spiritual the first thing most people want to do is tell everyone about it. Back then I'd only been learning a couple of years and was still filled with enthusiasm, so used it as a chance to explain it to other people as well as remind me of the teaching. In the end although there were a few related names when you work through everything else in practice there is nothing else left besides the satguru at the end, and also what I have found since is we can all use it on and off right now as it's English term would be intuition. The difference being the teaching recognises intuition as being total, that is able to address absolutely everything when fully realised. See, I'm still teaching, it's what I tend to do when started off.

I had recently set up a user ID for a sports logo site, and combining sports and heraldry seemed appropriate there. Those are but two of the many interests I have. I had no idea then that I would become a regular at FunTrivia, and I didn't want to forget my ID, so I just used the same name. I now rarely visit the logo site, but I'm on FT every day!

I chose my ft name because I'm blind, love cats, & my birth year of 1978.

Qmel is a shortened version of my MSN nickname QuaintMelissaK, and when MSN had a series of chat rooms, everyone in each of the rooms kept caliing me Qmel to keep things short, so that's how I came about my Fun Trivia nickname almost 10 years ago.
I use QuaintMelissaK as my Twitter handle now.

Muswell Hill is the area of London that I live in - famous as the birthplace of the Kinks (or Muswell Hillbillys as they were originally called. Not sure about the 3.

My name comes from the late great New York Giant Spider Lockhart who wore #43 on his uniform. In 1986 playoffs, San Francisco's Jerry Rice was heading for a touchdown when he fumbled the ball without anyone touching him. The announcer had the line that it was the Ghost of Spider Lockhart (a good player on some awful Giant teams) who knocked it out of Rice's hands. That stuck with me and I decided to use it when I signed up here.

My last name in real life but with the Mac taken out. More to the point, people called me that in school so it stuck as a username when signing up to things on the internet.

Maybe muzzyhill can help me, having read a short biography of the Kinks their actual address was on Fortis Green but in N2, which is still East Finchley. Very few suburbs don't follow the postcodes except a few which are smaller parts of others so not strictly one or the other (like Neasden which is half in NW2 and half NW10) but unless I counted wrong the Kinks lived this side of the border. Our cleaner lived opposite and I think her sons knew them quite well as about the same age so grown up on the edge of the area myself.

Thanks Tori! That is a song I remember, but is not the reason I chose this username.

Satguru - I'm not an expert but what I think is this. The Davis boys grew up in Denmark Terrace,Fortis Green which is a road that go's between Muswell Hill and East Finchley. I previously lived a couple of doors away from their former abode. Fortis Green is part in N2, part in N10. Denmark Terrace would've been in N2 but confusingly in Harringay and not in Barnet borough. Technically, I guess the Kinks lived in East Finchley, though their parents paid rates in Harringey (MH is Harringey, EF in Barnet). Also the name East Finchley Hillbillys is a lot less poetic.

Yarmo is a nickname I picked up years ago because of my horrid golf game. 11 was my younger brother's baseball uniform number growing up.

That makes sense muzzyhill. Haringey doesn't have any relation with the postcode, the sign is halfway down the Great North Road and crosses Bancroft Avenue with about half a mile before N6 begins by Woodside Avenue. I know the spot well as that's where I need to drive across for free parking.
