Are we actually required to "claim" things in these threads first or can we just go ahead and write them?
For our team, I submitted "Whale Rider" (as the movie title) for a quiz that is actually about Joshua on May 16 3:58 a.m. FT Time.

Also apologies to triviaking - I didn't open any threads until May 15 and just scrolled til I found the 12th where Kyle/Wes posted the tasks. I didn't even read the rest of the threads at ALL that day because I wanted to get writing (quite frankly I've "trained myself" not to touch them PERIOD unless it's "my turn" to write LOL), so didn't see your post about Joshua until today. Anyway, just wanted to say I didn't deliberately try to copy/usurp your idea (I feel bad now, sigh).

I kept wondering how Joshua could possibly be connected with a title like 'Whale Rider'. Jonah was the one who popped into my mind when I saw the title. :)

You need not feel bad now, Jakeroo. Triviaking's quiz is on Joshua while your's is on Jonah.

George, I fear that yes, you would have to write another. It's no longer a qualifying quiz.

However, after consulting with Kyle - we will NOT time you on that extra quiz, instead it will count as 2 revisions (editor send-backs) so at the worst you'll be hit for 8 hours in your total.

You're right zorba. I've completely "lost it" now. I can't read AND I can't type LOL!

Task 5: Sequels and Companions
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, or so the saying goes. Here's your chance to showcase a quiz of which you always thought "I wish I had written that" (or "I wish I would finally have the time to continue this") by providing it with a second part, counterpart or otherwise fitting companion. Your source quiz can be your own or someone else's, but whatever you choose, you should stick to the general style of the original author and the title must be an obvious reference.
Make sure you credit the source of your inspiration and be sure not to just add 10 extra questions to a quiz - your quiz should stand alone on its own merits, so I don't want to see "Revenge is Still a Dish" with 10 more photos of cold food as your reply to Kyle's Clue 1 Sprint quiz. A valid option to continue that one would be "Oh, Sweet Justice" with a candy theme.
To ensure that last part, your continuation may not be written in the exact same subcategory as the original (different subcategories of the same main category are okay). The General Knowledge category is also off limits, everything else is up to you. Good luck!

It took me nearly all day, but mine is finally submitted! I had to do a bit of research for it, but I'm happy with the outcome! It is also in a category that will help me for the Pangalactic.

I thought of something that will take more time but should be better received.
...and it'll help my Pan-Galactic.

Halfway there. This one is frighteningly difficult to work only because there are too many options.
