Subject: - FT Sprint: Wesley's Clue Thread -
Date: Apr 11 12

Hello to all sprinters,

this thread will be used for the "W" clue set for the FunTrivia sprint. Each of the clues will be posted at some time during the release date (as early as possible) and then a post will be made in the game's main thread to inform you about the new clue.

IMPORTANT: Once each new clue has been posted, clicking on this thread WILL start your timer for the round. Thus, once the game starts, do not come here until you are ready to start writing for the week! (If in doubt, check the main thread first to see if the clue has already been released.)

POSTING RULES: Since this is the best, "safe" place to do so, you can ask any questions you may have about the clues here; thus, the thread will not be closed. However, please make sure you only post questions pertaining to the currently active clue - any discussions on past clues or general aspects of writing for the Sprint that do not spoil the clue for those who have not seen it yet should go in the game's main thread. Please do not send clue clarification questions by PM - any clarification request should be made in the open and the answer will benefit all players.

And now - have fun with the Sprint!

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Thank Neptune I'm not doing this one. I would not enjoy writing a quiz in "Something in Common" in the religion category. ;)

I love this idea, though, Wes, and the complications are quite entertaining as well. If I were doing this, I'd do an author's challenge that wasn't Kyle's with one word answers and 15 questions. :P

Of course, I must do Kyle's clue, not this one, thankfully.... I just hope Kyle's clue doesn't force me into religion either. ;)

I feel very sorry for whoever must write a quiz about "The Dillantante's (yeah, I forgot what it was really) Guide To..." Ooh, how deviously devious.

Wow, Christina. One word answers for the expert category AND it starts with the dilettantes guide to...

Well, it's my first retread category of the race. Took eleven clues for me to be forced to double up.

Taking the AC requirement.

Mine has been submitted into the Geography : Europe category with single word answers.

Great idea for a challenge, Wes :)

Goodness! I haven't won any Expert categories, so it's "The Dilettante's Guide to..." for me. I looked through some people's profiles to get category options. I found one, 1990s Music, but I can't use an author challenge title since I have to use the dilettante title and so now I have to see if I can write it with one word answers, or if I have to go for the 15 questions. Well...here goes.

Urg-- slept through. Mine'll be in tonight. Going for my longest submission time.

Halfway done! So far I've managed to stick to the one word answers criteria. Hopefully I can keep that going for another five questions so I don't have to make it a 15 question quiz. Though I have ideas ready if needed.

Amazing how many are using the dilettante's guide line in addition to the expert category. :-P

And submitted! Not my best time, but not the worst either. I managed to make all the answer options one word, so I didn't have to do 15 questions.

I went out for a while to go to the store and it was already online when I got back!
