Subject: - FT Sprint: Wesley's Clue Thread -
Date: Apr 11 12

Hello to all sprinters,

this thread will be used for the "W" clue set for the FunTrivia sprint. Each of the clues will be posted at some time during the release date (as early as possible) and then a post will be made in the game's main thread to inform you about the new clue.

IMPORTANT: Once each new clue has been posted, clicking on this thread WILL start your timer for the round. Thus, once the game starts, do not come here until you are ready to start writing for the week! (If in doubt, check the main thread first to see if the clue has already been released.)

POSTING RULES: Since this is the best, "safe" place to do so, you can ask any questions you may have about the clues here; thus, the thread will not be closed. However, please make sure you only post questions pertaining to the currently active clue - any discussions on past clues or general aspects of writing for the Sprint that do not spoil the clue for those who have not seen it yet should go in the game's main thread. Please do not send clue clarification questions by PM - any clarification request should be made in the open and the answer will benefit all players.

And now - have fun with the Sprint!

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

I'm actually a bit disappointed-- I don't even remember having completed that Expert category. Had it not been for that, I'd have submitted to General, a category I needed for both the Sprint and Pan-Galactic. I did 'People' back in task 3. It's queued now. Ah well.

Kyle, you made it this far without repeating a category. I commend you for that.

I wish I was paying more attention... In 11 clues I've only repeated a category once. I would not have done so had I been thinking. :-P

I remember you winning it. I was up very late, playing, so excited that I was in the lead. Went to bed, woke up, Kyle won. :-P

I was mad cuz I'd never ever get 15 in the category again. Haha.

My category is Specialized History. As fortune would have it, I already had a quiz mostly written within one of the subcategories (heraldry) that did not take much to finish up and adapt to a nice Author's Challenge title by Daaanieeel.

triviaking162 Wait, the Dilettante's Guide is only required for people who've never won a Who's the Expert game right?

Mine is called "A Picture Paints a Thousand Words"

triviaking162 It's an author challenge.

Here's hoping mine's in the right place. Alphabetical words, with author challenge title and single word answers.

I won "Classical Music" against 99 competitors. I'll go for "The Dilettante's Guide to Opera".

Wrong category, so this quiz is a bust in terms of the sprint. I'm off to see if the grass is greener on Kyle's side of the fence.

I've won quite a few Expert categories, so got cross eyed trying to see which one I needed to do. Bizarrely, it appears to be 'Name the People' in Movies, and I don't really watch films. I couldn't be sure that I was correct, so I opted for Kyle's clue instead.

Got mine up online -- Thanks to speedy editing by Paige "thankyou".....

I used the Common Bond category because that was my largest win in the "expert" game....Figured I would "dilettante" the title just in case :) Very challenging Sprint Leg Wesley :)
