First of all, what's up with the phrase "rules are rules"? It's either said by those who are too strict with their "enforcement of said "rules," or they're too lax.

Second I'd like to thank everyone reading this--and assure you, yet again, that my previous blogs having been deleted are completely and categorically my fault. **You did nothing *wrong.

Which brings me to another rant: why is it some people (nobody on here, I'm sure) can't accept responsibility for*anything. "If blame is to be going around... just don't look at me."

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

The Winner? Lifetime Movie Network—although I eventually lost interest and wound up waiting until the 3:00 hour.

veronikkamarrz I love "The Doctors" so I would have gone that way. Have you seen the new show: "NY Med?" It's great, (real stuff) and Dr. Oz is a surgeon at that hospital. Check it out! :)

I thought at first I wanted to see WITF, but the show was actually on beginning at 9:15, and I was already laughing helplessly at TRUTV at that time.

Sorry, VM, didn't se your post (and no, I haven't seen that show yet). If I see listings, I will certainly "check it out"

Grandma has an appointment with the cardiologist on the fifteenth, so Mom suggested she think about sleeping over her the fourteenth. (There’s that pesky little paper that has to be signed saying someone’s sleeping over, but Mom already filled it out. It’s called being proactive, and she dropped it off along with the rent check she helped me write today because she’s going to be out of town from Saturday to Saturday.)

Mom brought over the food from the butcher shop, as well as what I asked her to pick up from the store (she was a little irritated with me earlier because I let my checking account dip so low that my debit card couldn’t be used to pay). She also brought me two containers of barbecue and two rolls. Then, after taking my laundry (in bags) out to her car (I lent her my key for this purpose), and sweeping my floor (why can’t I avoid messing it up?), we watched ‘The Princess Bride’ (she saw it some weeks back at a friend’s, and immediately thought of me. She forgot that before I moved, I used to watch it on ABC Family (I told her later I likecd the DVD better because it was louder). Having seen it before didn’t ruin it for me; quite the opposite: being my “favorite movie,” I was (and still am) touched that she thought of me and wanted to watch it again with me. I thanked her (and thought, in my room, getting ready for bed, that she’d never know just how much that meant to me).

veronikkamarrz Your MoM is the best, Jaymee. We all know it. She does a lot of stuff, for a lot of people. You're a lucky girl! :)

It’s hard to believe there was a time (man, was there ever) when I wasn’t grateful and thankful for the mother that I have (somewhere, deep down, I knew I was fortunate, and yet… I wish I was talking about teen years, but I’m not… when did things change?) Well, I guess (to be fair to myself) there were days (even in that period) when I thanked ?God for the woman that was my mother, but looking back those seem far and in between (perhaps it’s because we still lived under the same roof – perhaps that’s why some people argue so strongly for kids leaving as soon as they’re eighteen, or out of school—whichever comes first).

The turkey definetly made a difference in my salad (when I ate all the lunchmeat lastweek, all I had was shredded cheese and that bag of salad stuff. It was edible, but just... that's why I asked Mom to pick up some bacon lover's turkey when she was at the store (I asked for chees, too, as I knew I'd be out the next day).

There's certainly a difference in how chocolate milk tastes (I asked Mom to pick some up, as the brand she buys is much creamier than the one at Zweier's - don't get me rong, it's good, but...)

Headache today. Attribute it in part to financial concerns. Phone bill higher than expected. Same with electric. Grocery bill the same (I even skipped a few items on my list, and cut down the turkey from a pound to a half. Then again, I also got ingreexdients for party mix – crackers, nuts and pretzels, no raisinettes or m&ms – I’m sick of those now). Even so, the total managed to be three dollars or so more than klast week, when I had two chicken dinners on the list instead of just one).

Finished the book, and will start “Shelter” next.
