Next: “Female predators are often quiet killers.” It tells the tale of Dorothea, who buries seven victims in her backyard. She “preys on lonely men,” claiming to be a doctor. At first, all she does is steal Social Security checks—until prison hardens her.

In the third segment, “frail, sick old men” are poisoned by “a cold, methodical killer.” The name of the culprit? Anna. “Anna’s greed was insatiable, and it certainly compelled her to commit murder, but it was also a choice she made.” “The ultimate irony with predatory killers is that eventually they become sloppy… A common characteristic among serial killers is that they’re above average intelligence and they’re arrogant.”

The next hour: “These deadly women live with blood on their hands due to love gone wrong.” In the first segment, Tiffany and Rachel befriend Christine and Chris, only to meet the ultimate betrayal. “Christine’s attraction to Chris was really no surprise. Chris was an outsider. Christine had felt like an outsider all her life.” “Tiffany’s boyfriend was a druggie, and thanks to Chris Christine began using, too.” “He [Chris] was definetly not the kind of person Christine needed if she was to recover from her troubled past.” Because “Chris and Christine want drugs,” Tiffany and Rachel “soon become their enemies.” Each girl is shot numerous times, but Rachel is still fighting. “Drugs that turned her [Christine] into a killing machine now consume her life.””Christine killed the only two friends she ever had… She’s a very dangerous woman.”

[Could I have messed up here?]
It’s the sorry tale of a twelve-year-old girl dying at the hands of her own mother. “When love goes wrong, there are always casualties.” “She [Penney] is the poorest excuse for a mother I’ve ever seen.”

Speaking of “poor excuse of a mother,” the next segment is about Jenjnifer, who falls for a prison inmate. Therefore, she [a nurse with four children] moves closer to the place he’s being held, and even helps him to escape.. “All she did was hear the man she loved tell her to do something.” “Wayne Morgan, father of two, dies on way to the hospital.”

The 8:00 show was a rerun, and one I didn’t want to see, so I decided to do something else.

Packages
======
Sue came up with three packages: my backup walker and two magazines. I kept the ‘Braille Book Review’ and pitched the ‘Seventeen,.’ And, truthfully, Sue wouldn’t have had to deliver the packages, as Grandma was on her way up. ‘I did appreciate it, and she couldn’t have known.’

The Kids
======
I can’t count the number of times I told Elysha I was busy—whether I was or not—just because I didn’t want to deal with her. ‘Not nice, but…’ Almost every interaction ended in bickering; for the most part, as long as Edward was occupied with something else, his sister and I got along, but not always.

I remember several instances in which only the two siblings would be “playing,” and Edward would cry out in agony. Though he was always something of a dramatist, I always felt these times were different, so I’d go to investigate. I always found it suspicious that Edward never told me what they were doing. ‘Especially given her temper, and how ugly she’s always been to her brother at times…’

Both come from a bad neighborhood in Lancaster. ‘I put it that way because, though Edy fought for, and gained, primary custody, they prefer to spend time with their mother and half siblings. ‘Mom and I tried to provide stability, but there was only so much we could do.’ For a while, Edward was constantly getting in trouble both at home and at school—if Elysha ever did, it was only at home, and she adamantly denied having done anything to elicit such disciplinary measures. ‘Edy would rail against Edward, saying that the way he was going, he was on the fast track to prison. And, unfortunately, he’s still hard on his son.’

That last is a *serious* understatement!

All of the tapes I recorded of the three of us are gone—too much bickering. ‘Even the tapes of them on-on-one are gone, because I didn’t do a good job of recording them.’ Of course, some got ruined.

11/22 - Racist
======
Again, I find myself thinking about Elysha, nd how the prospect of being friends is almost nonexistent. I remember more than once when, after I claimed to be busy, she called me a racist, and on one occasion she asked me what I had against black people. I remember being very confused about that. At the same time that she didn’t seem to understand the words she was throwing around, she did. ‘She was only ever nice to you if things were going her way.’

Selfish
======
Grandma firmly believes that the only reason Edy fought, and won, for custody of his kids is that he didn’t want to pay child support. ‘First, it wouldn’t have suited his plans to go to school. Second, he was rarely home, and when he was he wasn’t to be disturbed. The slightest noise could send him into a fury. Noisemakers were punished.’

It’s like when Mom and Edy were arguing, and she said something about how I was downstairs. “I don’t care about your daughter!” ‘Oh—I don’t care about you, either!’ I know he didn’t necessarily mean it. I realize he was mad at the time, and that people say things they don’t mean when they’re upset. But that doesn’t change the fact that he said it—or the fact that I heard every word. ‘He behaved like a selfish brat, and expected Mom to care for the children and pay all the bills. What about her life? Oh, and let’s not forget his later claims of how she “abused” his children. Now, anyone who knows Mom knows she would never intentionally hurt a child in any way!

She's one of the most caring people you'll ever meet (and, no, I'm not just saying that because she's my mother--it happens to be tru.)

Sodas
======
Both Zweier’s and Boyer’s have sodas on sale this week. Zweier’s has the 24-ounce bottles of pepsi, so I’m getting a pack of those. The other store has Coke on sale, both the 8-packs of bottles and the 12-pack of cans. The bottles are 3/$12, and the cans are 4/$11. ‘Therefore, I think I’ll buy four of the 12-packs.

I hated to do it
I HATED TO DO IT
But I was forced into it
Purple Ninjas aren't doing as well as a team as they used to, being that only 18 are active right now (that's an all-time low since I became leader). Already, I've had two players leave (one because he felt the team was growing too big for him--though we soon dipped back to a small team from a medium one--and the other just left yesterday due to not enough team players (as of the other day, he and I were the only ones playingTeam Heroes).
So, much as I didn't want to, I removed a bunch of names from the list because they only played a few days or weeks (for instance, joining on my birthday and then disappearing the beginning of February).
I feel that a lot of players (a) don't understand what it means to be part of a team, or (b) that they don't have time for one (in which case they shouldn't join).
I've now narrowed the list down to 73 total members (down from 131).

Mom helped me with laundry and cleaning today
She's "keeping a low profile" tomorrow
(One day last week, she had *seven* meetings in one day)

I just narrowed the team list down a few more, so now 48 members with 19 active
Grandma helped me pay my Verizon bill online, as I was having trouble signing in
And I need to go over to the student loan site soon so the payment's on time
Plus, I still have yet to write the rent check--and I need to get Mom to help me with the Cable bill again (stupid screenreader doesn't like the site anymore)
Then all that's left is the electric
And I orderd groceries today, which come out Wednesday. This week they have Coke on sale 4/$12.
