Next week, America votes for their top ten on "American Idol"
There are ten males and ten females right now.
Should be interesting.
I wasn't seriously watching until last night, when ten of the girls sang (there had been twenty). Tonight, the guys sang.
Some of the names, I would hate to spell them (pronouncing them is bad enough). And then there's one name that begs the question, "what kind of a first name is that?"

Up until last night, I could view videos on the ABC Web site, although it kept telling me I had to update Flash Player or there would come a day in which I couldn't view them anymore.
I wanted to see "Sacrifice" but couldn't, so...
Plan B? Make ambrosia

My saved music videos still work, though :) (I just, out of curiosity, tried bringing up "What Makes You Beautiful" and it came)
Most music sites, I avoid, because they need the updated Flash Player (Youtube's off limits, as is last.fm--the latter site being one I used to enjoy until they no longer accepted my version.

I surprised myself--and Mom--by being totally understanding..
"I would have invited you," explained Mom, "but we're sort of under time restrictions."
The situation? Since Grandma enjoys the comedy "Mike and Molly" and there's a movie out in theatres now, Mom wondered if she'd like to get out of the house for a bit to go see it. (She is coming up to Lebanon on Tuesday night because she has an appointmennt Wednesday morning--which is why she's sleeping over at Mom's--but she rarely gets out anymore except to go to appointments. That, and the monthly trips to the Food Bank, which her brother helps out with.)
Every time she's slept over here, Grandma always asks me to check the local channels to see if "Mike and Molly" is on. It's all right--but I confess I haven't really gotten into that show--or another one she likes, "How I Met Your Mother." We both, however, enjoy "Two and a Half Men," and I just learned not too long ago that she also watches "The Big Bang Theory." (Thanks to Tiffany, I now watch that--I never would have known what it was about withouther).
Far from being mad, I told Mom, I was (and still am) glad that she's doing this with Grandma. After all, the longer she's cooped up in that house, the more depressed she gets.

I am not a fan of "How I Met Your Mother" But, I do like "Mike and Molly". Have you watched it a few times? It does grow on you!
The movie is: (I think) "Identity Theft" Got very good reviews!
I will have to check it out...:)

Yes, VM, that’s right: “Identity Theft.” Mom told me, but then I forgot what it was called. And I think I only watched the show once or twice. I’ll have to try it again one of these days :)
Movie tickets are now up to between $9 and $12—and Mom was surprised how long the movie was, over two hours. Well, as the saying goes, if the cost to get in is that expensive, then it better be worth it! Mom said they both had a good time, and that the film was funny. Good to hear.
Earlier, Mom asked me, "will I be in trouble if you don't see me tonight?"
No, but you'll be in trouble if I don't see you tomorrow.
"You'll see me tomorrow." She's just not sure when.
Henceforth, it is time for bed.

Woke up screaming (OK, I wasn't screaming) in agony.
Yesterday, I stumbled into the stove and whacked my elbow on one of the "points" (two of the knobs are missing.
I scrounged around for where I put my elbow pads, and I even had the right one on to sleep (why did I take it off? No idea)
I'm wearing long sleeves today, but still have those "comfort sleeves" on
I took two tylenol, and have written up a small Walmart list (including Advil) for Mom.

For over 20 years, I worked in the Engineering/Maint Dept. of a local Nursing Home.
Lost count of how many times, damaged and broken items were brought to the shop for repairs. And of course, no one ever knew how the damage occurred or who did it.

Hi, bob114 :)
Mom brought the things I asked for from Walmart, and helped me write the rent check. She then went home to rest, as she has a sore throat.
In other news, my one external microphone had to be thrown away because I pulled the wire(s. I opened the one Tiffany got me for Christmas, and all is well :)

Whoa… the odds of that happening were just…
I didn’t expect to ever get the “Buzzy Bee” badge, but I began playing one of the quizzexs earlier in the category of the hunt just to pass the time. I had already taken the first two quizzes on the list, so clicked on the third one—and, to my surprise, that was the quiz! Again, whoa !

I don’t think I’ll ever enjoy doing it, but… I feel it has to be done. And so I do.
Until a bit ago, Purple Ninjas had 69 members. Yet, as with any other number, more than half don’t play the team games (or log in regularly). I could actually have removed more names from the list, but there were some that fell under “special circumstances.” There were also extenuating circumstances I made called “trial period” and “I’ll take a chance with you.”
So, at the moment, the total number is at 50.

Tomorrow night, Mom’s picking Grandma up and taking her to her place. That’s because, early the next morning, she’s got to go to the hospital for something called a catheterization (I’ve heard the word before, but that’s about all I know about it).
As for tonight, Grandma went to visit her nephew as he had off of work. They both enjoy watching “Dallas,” so Rob told her that if the time comes around, they’ll just watch it.

Grandma came over while Mom went to the gym, and we watched "Idol." She left before it was over, as Mom came to pick her up (she also took my towels with her, as I have my "monthly affliction" and only had two clean bath towels left. I improvised--taking ones from the dirty basket. As Mom said, "so long as they don't have anything gross on them, you can reuse them for that purpose.")

Grandma's got to stay in hospital overnight because they had to put a stint in her one artery to keep it open (it was 95% blocked).
