I guess you could say I have strange tastes - at least, in my most critical moments, I say I do: I call myself every name in the book for still being attracted to certain kids' shows--and maybe that's why I no longer like others I used to enjoy immensely). Latest example: "Cyberchase" (I now think it sounds dumb, even though part of me still likes it
)
Watched "The Fairly OddParents" and was surprised to learn I still enjoy it as much as I used to.
Later, watched "Wizards of Waverly Place" (and wasn't overly critical there, either - however, the movie isn't as great, and I saw that a second time to give it another chance).
Tomorrow's more of "Wizards of Waverly Place," , along with "Full House," "Another Cinderella Story" and "Princess Protection Program." (I seem to remember watching the latter title, but I don't really remember it.)

Dang it!
Keep getting the same old (and not very helpful) clues for that treasure hunt.
How many helpful ones have I gotten? Let's see... two, at most :(

Music
Have just been listening to "JustLike You" by Three Days Grace (online, no less, in spite of the fact that even more sites are incompatible with my software than ever before)

Hi Jaymee
I just watched "JustLike You" by Three Days Grace on UTube and found it entertaining but a little to "loud" for me.
You mentioned the "little bird"...do you mean the masks they were wearing, or did I miss something?

Hi, Bob… No, I was speaking of my bird, Ethan. He’s adorable (when he’s not picking – which he is now). Gets me up in the morning, rubs his feathered head against my finger…
Oh, yeah - he's a beautiful blue color (I can't see it myself, but... blue is my favorite color. And he's got the *sweetest temperament (he's the only bird I've had that hasn't tried to bite Mom).

There’s actually a story behind my liking “Just Like You”. This was before I knew who sang it. I was listening to the radio, switching stations, aned I happened to hear part of it (actually, it was the same deal with their song called “Home”. Last night, though, what led me to look for the song again was this one part of my audio drama. There I was, taping it, when all of a sudden I could hear “Just Like You” in the background. Well, I’ve learned that when I get an idea like that I’d be a fool not to go with it.
(BTW - though I'd like that album, I don't have it. I do, however, have the one called "1x."

This morning, Pam downstairs called to say they were sending around notices. This paper had to be signed and sent back to Met. Ed. I guess they’re looking to see if we fit in the same “program” or whatever. (Pam had to help me sort through my accordion file, as she needed my account number. With it, she’ll find out how much I paid from January through this month.) I was talking to Grandma, and she said they likely had signed a contract for so long (I’ve been living here almost three years, and don’t remember this happening before).

Notices? That's a bit vague, isn't it?

Just a bit, Lesley.
Wish I'd thought to ask for clarification :(

I wasn’t aware of this until I was reading an article about it last night:
http://www.mnn.com/family/protection-safety/stories/accidental-ingestion-of-magnets-is-growing-risk-for-kids.
“Small objects that young children swallow can usually pass through their digestive systems without causing any illness or internal damage. However, when several magnetic elements are ingested, the magnets can become attracted to each other within the child's body, and trap soft tissues between them. In the intestines, this may lead to the development of a fistula, or an abnormal connection between segments of bowel.”
“High-powered ball magnets — which are not in kids' toys, but can be found in adult "stress-relief" desk toys, in which the magnets are used to create patterns or shapes — can also pose risk to children if they come lose. These magnets can lead to holes in the stomach and intestines, intestinal blockage and blood poisoning if swallowed, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).”
http://www.ehow.com/list_7563970_dangers-using-neodymium-magnets.html.
“Rare earth permanent magnets known as neodymium magnets boast the strongest known magnetic power. These magnets, used in industrial, medical and educational settings as well as for fashioning tools, contain the alloyed elements of boron, iron and neodymium. They are quite fragile, meaning they are susceptible to fracture and loss of magnetism when exposed to heat. They also pose health risks and damage magnetic media (computers, credit cards), and should be handled with care.”
“Swallowing neodymium may lead to the magnets being strongly attracted to each other inside the digestive system, causing a lethal blockage.”
“Neodymium's magnetic force increases with size. One neodymium could attract any loose metal objects (i.e. nails, knives), turning them into shrapnel hurled at a high rate of speed at anyone standing in the way. If one of these magnets were to attract another during handling, they could collide with such force as to break any bones unlucky enough to be caught between them.”

Q. Is there anyone that doesn’t recognize the problem called antibiotic resistence? Is it just because my mother works in health care that I can see it for the threat it is? How many people my age and younger actually care?
http//beforeitsnews.com/.../antibiotic-resistance-poses-a-catastrophic-threat-2591360.html
And the problem isn’t helped by those who take antibiotics (or any other kind of medicine), then stop taking it when they start to feel better. Take my grandmother as an example:
I was curious to know how she wound up contracting pink eye for a second time last week (as if once wasn’t enough). Her response (initially): “I don’t know how I got it in the first place…”
After a bit, what I think happened emerged: the instructctions were to take the medicine for ten days, but she didn’t because she began to feel better. So, I suppose, the eye became reinfedcted or whatever… so now she’s going to take it the full ten days.
