Accidentally dropped the cell phone (again) earlier when Grandma called (nothing broke, but the back popped off—no worries, it’s back on now).
Speaking of Grandma: Every time she sleeps over, I take the couch—and give her my bed. Invariably, we have a “discussion” that goes something like this:
- Her – I could sleep on the couch if you want your bed.
- Me – I want you to have the bed.
- Her - …you don’t have to.
- Me - …I want to.
This time was the same, except for:
- Her – You hurt yourself. You’ll feel more comfortable in your bed.
- Me …I’d feel uncomfortable regardless (explaining why that logic didn’t pan out).
- Her - …I’m used to sleeping on the couch because I do that at home.
- Me – That’s why I want to give you the bed… if you sleep on the couch here, (you might feel like you’re right back at home).
End result: she took the bed (sometimes I think she just does it to drive me nuts).

Must remember to call earlier if I forget something on my grocery order. If I call after the order's been done, I get charged another delivery fee :( Preferably,
don't forget anything. |

Had a funny conversation tonight. Mom was spending time with Phil, and when I called to say good night I had to leave a message. (She would be furious to know I'm still up and about - but I figure, there are worse things I could be doing - like tossing and turning into the wee hours of the morning.)
Anyhow, I accidentally switched off the ringer of the landline (the cell phone's charging, and I don't make a habit of using it then). So I'm reading (a 'Ladies' Home Journal' for anyone interested), when I happened to reach over and notice the ringer was switched off.
Me - Have you been trying to call me?
Mom - Yes...You don't have a boyfriend over there, do you?
Phil said that, if I did, he'd kick my you-know-what. (Where would I meet a man my age in here - for starters?)

Met up with an old friend on Facebook. We went to school together, and in fact I went to her house while Mom worked so her parents could watch me. She was a year behind me in school, and... well, you know the story: drifted away after graduation (she got a scholarship to Messiah College, and gave both Tiffany and I her phone number or email - but when we tried to keep in touch, she never responded. After a few emails, Tiff gave up - and I was the same way after several unanswered calls).
Sent a friend request yesterday; she accepted today, and even sent me a private message: "My friend, how in the world are you?"
