Actually, looking that over, maybe there should be "Languages" up there as a subject b/c I do remember taking that in grade school. Just a suggestion.

Social Studies/Social Science - My fault for the confusion; Social Studies is what it was called when I was at school. Might still be for all I know. Daughter starts high school in a few weeks so I'll soon find out.

Re: "Okay, when I wrote the other stuff it was still in bold."
--Yup, you posted before I updated the listing at the top. Remember, everything on here I do manually, so there is a bit of a buffer time on occasion. In the event that I do not update the header fast enough, titles are always first come first serve for these challenges; comments track that.
Re: "maybe there should be "Languages" up there as a subject"
--All of the subjects for this challenge were prescribed back in June; no new ones. I'm eager to see these older ones completed rather than extended.

When I was in school, social studies was more a geography class than anything. In high school, we no longer used the term for anything. I'd always viewed it as "little kid geography and history" lol.
And I'm 20, so this wasn't all that long ago.

Thru 7th grade (for me) it covered ancient history, American history, the-culture-or-country-of-the-month, a little sociology & psychology (truly), geography, civics, and anything else that wasn't math, science, music, P.E., or language arts. Beginning in 8th grade, we started having proper subjects rather than "social studies". But my education was weird because of a relocation, and then there was some reorganization of which grades belonged in elementary, middle, & high school.
I'm sure that was way more than anybody ever wanted to know. I prattle when I'm sleep-deprived. X-|

One more title back on the board. Can we finish this one up to dismiss the class?

Just to make sure, Home Ec would normally go into Humanities?

Which category would it normally go in, you ask? Well, actually my first instinct was to say Sci/Tech, but I can see how you would think Hobbies, too. So perhaps I'll avoid both?
I presume we may use a category that another player has used; the point is to avoid the "obvious" category appropriate to your subject.

You may-- it's already been done.

Okay, well, then we've decided the category I can't use is Hobbies because that is what Home Ec would naturally fit in.

Home Ec would mainly be cooking, crafts, and the like. Hobbies is probably one of the places a quiz about it wouldn't fit. You probably wouldn't be safe using Nutrition, Fashion, or Family Life either.

I'm making good progress, but there is so much to type, and the cast on my arm is still an impediment.

I hope you get well, soon, superfan123.
I'm making progress, too. I decided to make mine a Brain Teaser... a logic puzzle no less! Boy, is that tough. If I can't work it all out I'll go for analogies or something but I will get this in soon.

Yeah, this quiz has the most I've ever typed in a quiz. One Q, although not too difficult to think of, took maybe up to half an hour to type-- Now more with the cast.
