I find the bomb on the last tackle that lands just outside the tryline to avoid a catch for a 22 kick is a really boring lucky dip. Teams brag about comletion rates. Where is the encouragement for flair and some risk. I wonder if it was against the rules to put up a bomb from within the oppositions half it would encourage more running and kicks along the ground.

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

I'm no great fan of rugby league as I've been a life long supporter of rugby union, so am unable to comment with any real knowledge on the point you've made mountaingoat.

I have watched the 13 man game but cannot muster any real enthusiasm for it owing to the comparitive lack of any variation in play and the fact that the ball has to be surrendered to the opposition after six tackles.
