Recently, my brother, a friend, and I were watching a local news broadcast. The female reporter in the field was named Chicagi. Pronounced just like the city but with an 'e' sound at the end. We chuckled a little about that but I got them really laughing when I said..."That's all from the county courthouse. Now back to you, Cincinnato."

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

When I was a student nurse, we'd occasionally go out to a pub or club for the evening. If we didn't like the guys who were trying to chat us up, we'd tell them our names were Stephi Lococcus (staphylococcus), Malaena, Fay Kallis (faecalis) and Taenia Coli... maybe you need to be in a health related discipline...
We'd also give them a phone number..which, when called, connected you to the morgue at the other major teaching hospital..

Oh and just to add...when I was a student midwife, one of our tutors told us that she had once nursed a woman named Ophelia Dickie !!!

Caseena I've met a boy named Zepelin (poor kid) and a woman named Secrete (pronounced liked "secret"--at least that one has an old-time flavor, like when people named their kids Mercy, Fear, Remember, Loyal, etc.)

Years ago, I worked with a guy that had a girlfriend with the first name Renzel.

Hope I spelled it right.
