If you are directed here by a FunTrivia challenge, please reply ONLY in this thread for the challenge. Only posts made here will count towards your challenge!

[ And no, you will be DIRECTED to come here. Posting here without having an already issued challenge will not result in anything! Still, you can post a story if you feel like it anyway ;) ]

If sent here, the title says it all. Your challenge is to share a story.

Tell us, briefly, about something funny or interesting that has happened to you recently. Or something sad. Or something scary. Or something exciting. Something funny or strange you saw?

If nothing funny or interesting or scary or exciting has happened, then write us a poem. Or a song. Or tell us a joke.

Or just tell us what you did today. Did all you accomplish was to brush your teeth? Did you fail to even do that? Do share...

Feeling grumpy today? Tell us what irritates you. What TV show can't you stand? What TV show are you watching that you like?

So go ahead, we're listening. The only rules are that you be polite and follow our very simple rules up above.

Tell us a story...

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

My shift change this week seems to be helping my weight go down. I guess not being able to hit the bars at night reduces weight...NAH! That can't be it.

I Hate this time of year...The NEW year. It only depresses me because I feel like I didn't accomplish enough in the OLD year. And it's like this sad ending to the year's end blowout party of thanksgiving and Christmas - where just a few days ago everything was all sparkly and tinseled with the excitement of Christmastime. You get to see all of the family together again around one family table (even though I miss my daddy sooo much, because he really MADE Christmastime for us, with his childlike excitement.) But anyway, it's like as soon as the family festivities are over from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we just go home and immediately it feels like all of the cheer and happiness and joy and goodness that filled everyone up for the holidays are just gone. Kinda like we're saying okay holiday's over, so everybody go back to their normal grumpy, who cares attitude. I don't understand why people cant have that happiness and joy and caring about others attitude in their hearts all the time. I just get so sad after Christmas is gone and the New Year starts. I feel like it's the beginning of another year where I wont accomplish my dreams ...

What a beautiful day it is today! The sun is shining, and even though there is snow on the ground the sunshine lifts my spirits. I believe I will take my camera for a walk in a little while.

it is lightly snowing where I live right now, so I think I'll stay in and play trivia for a while. I'm hoping I can finally get the new question achievement badge. I've been so close in the past but haven't been quite good enough.

I became a first time grandmother on December 27, 2012. Caleb was born weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces and in perfect health. The bad news is my son and family live in South Carolina and I live in Arizona which is a distance of about 2000 miles. I hope to travel to South Carolina at the end of this month to meet my new grandson.

Today is the start of NFL Playoffs. I'm am very excited to see who wins. The Green Bay Packers are my favorite team. Todays game will be the first home playoff game in 21 years that I won't be able to attend. I'm hope they'll be ok without me.

faridsbabe At this particular time of year,
When newness and hope combine to give cheer,
I'd like to wish all whose paths I may cross
Longevity, health, and days shiny as my lip gloss.
Don't keep up with the Joneses, compete with your soul,
Relish and enjoy each step towards your goal.
Please carry in your heart these words as you plod:
Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

vampyrbite The day after Christmas it snowed fairly hard here in Cincinnati, OH. We got about three inches of white fluff. Unfortunately, this was the day my family and I were supposed to travel to my grandparents for a post-Christmas dinner and present opening. Because the roads were so bad from the snow and ice the night before the trip was cancelled. And because the trip was cancelled all of the food I had prepared to take with us (enough for about 20 people) had to be eaten over the past week by me and my parents. UGH, no more ham, beans, potatos, or pasta salad for me!

tjongololo I live in the coastal town of Mossel Bay, South Africa which is situated along the warm Indian ocean. During the festive season thousands of visitors come to our town to enjoy the warm weather and beautiful beaches.
This yearly influx of visitors keeps our town alive financially. Without these visitors many businesses would not survive.
Many local people complain about the inconveniences experienced during this time: cannot find parking space, shops and restaurants are crowded and large volumes of traffic slowing you down, taking twice as long to reach your destination.
I don't mind the inconvenience! I consider myself very fortunate to live in such a lovely area and being able to enjoy every day what most people can enjoy only once a year.

Today I learned that apparently there's a new blender out called the Magic Bullet. My friend was really excited and rhapsodized about the great and easy meal he made with it. I have my doubts, but whatever...

The neighbors' cat keeps running into my home whenever I open my door. They refuse to let him inside because they are afraid he will hurt their new baby. I am debating whether or not to report them to some authority, because I am sure forcing their cat to live outside when it is below freezing constitutes animal cruelty.

sinty2 My youngest son called yesterday to say he had some news....another grandchild is on the way. I know that we are supposed to be delighted with such tidings but in this case, the news is disastrous. 2013 is off to a bad start.

My wife and I got to babysit our granddaughter last night. It's become a regular Saturday night thing. Little Ava is now nine months old and while she is not quite walking yet. She can stand up and move across the floor holding on to the furniture. Won't be long now before she is running.

While I was running on the beach today a fisherman caught a teeny tiny baby shark. I am now officially freaked out that I swim in that exact spot for a good part of the year.
