I don't have time to write a story today. I just got a new book called 'A HIGHER CALL' by Adam Makos. It is 'an incredible true story of combat and chivalry in the war-torn skies of World War II'.

We are in Las Vegas, and keep forgetting to slide our key cards in the elevator. Which means the elevator will not take us to our floor!
Of course, we have met some very interesting people riding up and down in the elevators, again and again and again...

I just saw the movie 'Django Unchained' and I am really disappointed that Leonardo DiCaprio didn't get an Oscar nomination. He should have even won because his performance is just amazing. It movie itself is very good. Although, it is very, very, very, very violent. Anyways, I am not gonna say anything else about the movie as I really don't want to spoil it for anyone. But know this, it is really an awesome movie!

I'm late getting on FT today. It is 1:30pm EST and usually am on earlier. I am 85 years old (or will be on 02/02) and use this to make my mind is still working. Thanks for a fun site.

My cat is beautifully asleep next to me. I am too tired to go to sleep, not awake enough to get something done and there is so much to do, so much to learn, to organize, to read. The day has passed quickly.

With at least three entries already on here, I now feel like I am over-sharing.

Hi Funtrivia members! Big news for Waldmaus and myself - both of us are members of the Cat People team. We got engaged this week and have moved in together. Not sure if this has ever happened through FT before, but, it has happened now!

Oh dear, it's getting late to post my 'story' -- it's 8:30 and I have a pot roast ready to come out of the oven for dinner. Can't wait to dig in to it! mmmmmmmm!

I'm enjoying a beach holiday with the family while others are suffering bushfires not too far away. Two very different experiences in the same state.

My Sister gave me a book of poetry for Christmas and I truly enjoy it. The poems are from the point of view of cats. Its title is "I Could Pee on This"

Congratulations Burnone and Waldmaus :-D
Is it freezing where everyone else is? I know the Aussies and others in the southern hemisphere are having summer and I wish I could join you all. We've had snow and ice and wind and cold, and we're just not used to it! For some reason, the entire UK seems to grind to a halt as soon as the first flake of snow falls...

I finally bought and planted stone fruit trees! Two peaches, two plums, a nectarine and a nectaplum. I'm using an "urban orchard" technique of high density planting; they are planted two feet apart and will be kept at a height of six feet. Can't wait to harvest fruit next year :-)
