Yesterday I got a belated Christmas gift in the mail, sent from NY on December14th. Two cute little gnome with knitted hats and scarves. Obviously customs liked them, so they had to stay there until well after Christmas.

Well, I served my 11-year old US-raised twins their first haggis on the 25th. Rejected strongly by the girl, enjoyed by the boy. Although he was a little perturbed on hearing the ingredients...

We are certainly experiencing extreme weather events in Australia.
We have extensive flooding in Queensland and northern New South Wales and continuing wildfires/bushfires in Victoria at the same time(late Jan. 2013)!

I have a friend who once had a dog that could talk. It could say "Mama" and "out" very clearly.

I was amazed and appalled that Andy Murray could actually play at all with that huge blister on his foot. With no Raffa in the draw, Djokovic certainly had the easier route to the final.

I'm staying up way too late to complete the challenges. I check to see what they are as soon as they come online a little after 1 a.m. where I live. So I had to do a Buzzy Bee again and here it is, almost 2 a.m. Enough!

When I was 10 years old I met my Uncle George for the first time. As I was a cheeky little thing, I sang "Georgy Porgy, pudding and pie" to him and was given a shilling by my mother for doing it. Only it was me who cried and ran away.

A poem based on the recent Sunday Morning BBC discussion about evolution. Took me 10 minutes to write it today so apologies to real poets!
`The BBC TV show the other Sunday Morning
should have been sent out with a blood pressure warning
Two sides set up for discussion and chat
Turned out to be ready for 'hors de combat'
The pseudoscientists who declare evolution
were trying to silence the the new revolution.
The evidence they chose to totally ignore
Was clear to viewers yet what we saw
were the rambling dogmatics by evolutionary bloke
declaring his theory that make me choke
As step by step his opinion produced shocks
contradicted by the evidence found in the rocks
Who silently shouted 'We were formed in the Flood
a catastrophic techtonic worldwide act of God,
not by steady slow adaptation over millions of years'
a foundation of sand on which evolutionist build their careers
When the debate was completed the evolutionists weren't at all cheery
As the facts in the rocks contradicted their theory
Why do people accept evoutions ideas
when the evidence against it has been known for years
I think its quite simple yet conversely so odd
but to believe in the rocks story provides evidence for God!

I must share a story: Last week when we went to the theatre the usher found some guy sprawled out across three seats and kept on trying to rouse him, to no avail, so he called the manager - he had no better luck, so he called the police. A tough patrolman arrived shortly and poked at the man, Hey!" he said, "What's your name?" "Fred," mumbles the man. "Where you from, Fred?" says the cop. "The balcony," says Fred.

Mike, I started to watch the tennis yesterday morning, long after the final had been played but I heard the announcer on the tv downstairs mention the winner so didn't have the heart to finish watching the match. Poor old Andy, he's playing well but couldn't manage to climb the last mountain.

It's utterly amazing how much a good nap in the middle of the day can make one feel absolutely refreshed! Unfortunately now I will have trouble getting to sleep later tonight...

As a child (around 10 or 11) I shot myself in the thumb with an arrow - embarrassing and painful.

Here I am again...
And here I go again...
Oh. The story. Right... I'll just start it and come back to it next time I get the challenge.
Once upon a time...
