As a child of about 11 or 12 my friend shot me in the nose with a BB gun. In a way it served me right. He was shooting at his sister's life-sized doll house and I happened to be checking it out at the time.

I love the TV show Criminal Minds. We have two networks that show it at different times of the day but right now they are both showing the exact same episodes. I don't understand how that happens!

I am watching the People's Court on TV right now. Never would I go on public TV to settle something that should be done inside the courtroom, not on TV!

I loved Court TV when they showed trials and had real, genuine legal pros talking about what was up. How far that channel has fallen.

So, I'm a teacher and lunchtimes are getting harder to get to eat in.
I know in the States, your children start school later, but most of our reception class is still 4 years old, and the weather is bad.
Going down the corridor on my way to the staffroom, I have to pass wiggling and squiggling lines of very cute children squeaking and giggling as they attempt to do up buttons and zips and put on wellies.
Half the time there's a little wail of 'Help me, help me, I'm stuck' from a headless caterpillar that is bouncing off walls trying to get a coat on without undoing toggles.
Sometimes they lie on the floor in ambush, grab you by a leg and insist that you really want to tie their laces and help them put gloves on.
But they are so tiny and polite and relentless, there is really no escape.

Finally added the Game Show Network to our television package, and after a couple of months, I'm sick of it. Not of the content, although there is waaaaay to much Family Feud. But because every commercial is for life insurance, drug lawsuits, or OTC and prescription drugs. I might have lots of questions to ask my doctor next time I see him...

I'd like to use the 'share a story' thread to mention the 'Weigh-in' thread which is sadly neglected. There must be dozens [nay, 100s] of couch potatoes playing Fun Trivia quizzes who would love to join us in our weekly 'walk of shame.' :) dg dave is our inspiration and is just about to reach his goal of losing over 6 stones, next Sunday!

I have finally watched Les Miserables, the movie, last weekend. The movie is good, but I believe the director could have used more cinematic effects to augment the songs. Two of my favorite songs, "Stars" and "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" were "under"-sung, in my opinion.
Oh yes, maybe someone can point me the way on where I can watch (in the Internet) the 25th anniversary concert of Les Miz. ;)

Today was my really first day back at work - and found it really hard - as I wanted to play fun trivia.

Very tiring day. Had to take my dog in very early to the other side of town to have xrays and start his second cycle of chemo - fighting peak hour traffic and then had to pick him up when it was coming in the opposite direction. I hate driving at the best of times but as long as it helps!

I wish winter would make up its mind. Last week it barely got above freezing! (live in coastal N. Carolina) Today should get to low 70's. Tomorrow back in the 40's again!

Does anyone remember when you went to buy groceries and drove up to the front and they would load them for you? Well one day I went to the grocery store, bought groceries and forgot to pick them up. Did not even notice until I got home. Talking about a senior moment.

We are also experiencing weird weather here. Last week it was well below freezing, then it snowed. Now it is warm and all the snow is melting, but I've just read that we could be in for a 'flash freeze' tomorrow. Bring on Spring, I say!

I want to run for President. My platform is non-partisan and logical, at least to me.
I have three years to work out the kinks in it, and somehow figure out how to win a popularity contest with unpopular ideas.

I've found that the surest way to make to telephone ring is to begin a timed quiz. I'm getting better at asking people to "Hold" until I finish my quiz!

I dreamed I was walking on a thin sheet of ice on Lake Huron when a boat appeared out of the mist. I was amazed that a boat could sail on ice until I realized it wasn't a real boat but a kayak the size of a crane. As it approached I felt the ice crack under my feet and when I plunged into the icy water I woke up next to my open window with a hurricane blasting rain onto my bed.
Moral: Don't leave your window open during a storm.
