If you are directed here by a FunTrivia challenge, please reply ONLY in this thread for the challenge. Only posts made here will count towards your challenge!

[ And no, you will be DIRECTED to come here. Posting here without having an already issued challenge will not result in anything! Still, you can post a story if you feel like it anyway ;) ]

If sent here, the title says it all. Your challenge is to share a story.

Tell us, briefly, about something funny or interesting that has happened to you recently. Or something sad. Or something scary. Or something exciting. Something funny or strange you saw?

If nothing funny or interesting or scary or exciting has happened, then write us a poem. Or a song. Or tell us a joke.

Or just tell us what you did today. Did all you accomplish was to brush your teeth? Did you fail to even do that? Do share...

Feeling grumpy today? Tell us what irritates you. What TV show can't you stand? What TV show are you watching that you like?

So go ahead, we're listening. The only rules are that you be polite and follow our very simple rules up above.

Tell us a story...

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

GlennaRuth There once was a lady who took tests

there once was a lady who took tests
wherein achieving high scores was her quest
but each time her high score
was beat by those who scored more
she'd say "surely they jest!"

I love playing the Twin Challenge because I have had the chance to meet up with some former team mates and that was really nice.

Good morning all. Another visit to the share a story thread, which is starting to look like a long yarn and that is not stretching it at all!

Not my first story for a task, I was hoping for an epic challenge, maybe next time I will visit the land of epicness.

JackieA0818 My Story:

When leaving Germany in 1982 we boarded the airplane at Rhine Main Air Force Base and as the airplane took off and was climbing out through the clouds my then 6 year old son, leaned across my lap and looked out the window. With a very serious look, asked me "Where's God?"

Stargzr613 Will be so happy when Hurricane Sandy is a long lost memory. Still dealing with the aftermath. We were trapped in our home for a week with no power, heat or gas and five feet of water as far as the eye could see. Fish swimming up and down Main St.! Lost everything in the basement where there was three feet of water plus two cars! Last week, woke up to no heat because of the remains of 3000 gallons of water that was in the gas lines. Shingles have been replaced so leaks in bedroom are finally gone. When will it end lol??? Waiting on flood insurance. Still, we are better off than many others!

My quest to become Immortal is over already :(

Didn't get home from work yesterday in time to complete the first round of yesterday's Global Challenge.

rikthib They occasionally have a trivia night here at the military base I work at and my team is undefeated. Last time our team name was "Les Quizerables".

harryofarabia A businessman was going on a trip and his wife was to follow him next day. When he got to his hotel he sent an email to his wife. Unfortunately he sent the email to the address of an elderly couple whose husband had just passed away. The lady was very distraught when she read it. It read "To my dear Wife. Just got checked in. Everything is ready for you tomorrow. Boy is it hot down here."

I remembered to re-register for the KO again. I don't know why Tuesday's at work are so terrible that I have forgotten to play in my KO matches the last two weeks. This week will be different, however, and I will remember!

sherry0709 Received a pleasant surprise recently. Our daughter lives a long way from Georgia, and is a professional flutist. She was interviewed for a local television show about the promotion of arts in the area. Although she was only briefly shown in the piece, it was a treat for us to see her on television.

I watched the Super Bowl (American Football - just to verify) last night and had made a wish that, somehow, neither team would win. When the power went out in the stadium at the start of the second half, I thought my wish was going to come true. Sadly, the lights came back on and they finished the game and had a winner.

I'm on a journey and the theme seems to be smells. My room in a fabulous 5star Mayfair hotel smells of smoke, but I don't want to complain or be moved because the room is huge, and lovely. I looked at some apartments this morning and woke a resident up - he'd obviously just used the bathroom before opening the door so that wasn't pleasant. The driver of my black London taxi (I love London cabs!) had obviously just put his fag out when I got in. I'm having a ver smelly time!
