I drove to the store and saw someone I knew walking along the road. I drove on by. Decided to go back and say hi to her, but when I went back, she was gone. Oh well. I should have stopped in the first place.

Just got back from Ol Mexico last week. Missing the tequila & the beaches. Went deep sea fishing and my son caught a 42" mackeral. Good times.

I woke up this morning with the early-morning sunlight streaming into my bedroom and the cheerful chirping of the many birds that live in my garden.
What a joy to be alive and healthy! I thought about the many people in the world who are ill, jobless, homeless and hungry and I realised how fortunate I am to have the privilege of another beautiful, carefree, Fun Trivia day.

Nothing amazing going on. I have three days off and it is filled with doctor appointments. Worst is going to the dentist and having 4 teeth pulled.

My sister and her daughter (my niece) are coming to visit today. I always have mixed feelings when seeing them - my sister and I were nine years apart in birth and weren't especially close growing up. We are both extremely stubborn people (a trait we got from our mother) and we lock horns frequently. My niece is growing up with the same characteristic and, being a teenager, she is taking full advantage of it.
Don't get me wrong. I love both of them dearly. But this may not be the most pleasant visit of all time.
