If you are directed here by a FunTrivia challenge, please reply ONLY in this thread for the challenge. Only posts made here will count towards your challenge!

[ And no, you will be DIRECTED to come here. Posting here without having an already issued challenge will not result in anything! Still, you can post a story if you feel like it anyway ;) ]

If sent here, the title says it all. Your challenge is to share a story.

Tell us, briefly, about something funny or interesting that has happened to you recently. Or something sad. Or something scary. Or something exciting. Something funny or strange you saw?

If nothing funny or interesting or scary or exciting has happened, then write us a poem. Or a song. Or tell us a joke.

Or just tell us what you did today. Did all you accomplish was to brush your teeth? Did you fail to even do that? Do share...

Feeling grumpy today? Tell us what irritates you. What TV show can't you stand? What TV show are you watching that you like?

So go ahead, we're listening. The only rules are that you be polite and follow our very simple rules up above.

Tell us a story...

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Humanist, your butt is sagging a tad bit. Can you smoosh the foto in a little.
How come a sagbut is a musical instrument? Or is it really?

KailuaKid I have an Elton John story to share:
I was working security at a fancy beachfront estate in Hawaii, many years ago, and Elton John came to stay as a house-guest. I was patrolling the property at about 2 in the morning, when Elton John woke up, due to the time difference from London. He walked down into the living room, sat down at the Steinway grand piano there, and started to play.
I sat down on the steps in the Japanese garden and just listened, for about an hour. No one else was around, or awake, I just got a private concert, from a monster talent, Elton John. I will never forget!

I had a strange day at work. One of my employees came in and instead of telling me she was wearing new contact lenses and having a hard time seeing, she tried to run the drive thru and had cars backed up and people getting really angry. She put on her glasses and everything was good again!

I helped out at my church last Saturday and am going to do it again today. The children are playing in a program called Upward Basketball. They get to learn a little about the Bible and have a great time playing in a basketball game and being cheerleaders. It is a lot of fun for everyone.

Whose antics make everone dizzy
She fell in the pond

winebert On Satudays we have a group of freinds we meet for coffee. We met these people at a coffee shop that is now closed, over 10 years ago. Originally there were 5 people but one of our members has passed on. We have added members and lost members but the core group is still meeting on Saturdays to talk about our week and provide support in the difficult times

These recent winter storms in the U.S. have reminded me of once when I was snowed in while traveling. Ran into a snow storm and stopped in a very small town to wait it out. Had my dog with me, but no dog food. There was a restaurant at the motel, so I just needed to choose something for him that I could take back to the room that he would like and that would be relatively neat. Chicken livers. He loved them.

SAPHIREQT2 So, I hear I'm sort of a flirt. I sometimes wonder if that's true. I don't even know how to flirt though, but then again there are people who flirt & don't even realize it. I guess I just happen to be one of those people. I just can't help it though sometimes; I love guys and I'm a nice person. I help everyone out in the best way that I can & if that sometimes turns out to look like I'm flirting with you, then I guess it just does. There's not much I could actually do about it & part of me doesn't actually want to even stop. What's a right girl to do, right? =D

rockinbone When we were kids and my parents needed a break from our normal neerdowell summertime mayhem. They would send us to visit a Cajun woman named Belle as "Punishment". Belle had a take no prisoners attitude and nothing escaped her gaze. She weighed 300 pounds if she weighed an ounce and was a very accomplished chef...
She could cook anything. We spent our time scouring the bayou for critters...because that's what we did..When said critters were taken inside, Belle would say "You best get that thing out of my house or you'll be eating it for supper!" and on more than one occasion...she did!
The area around Mansfield, Louisiana has many critter to choose from!.....I'm Hungry!

I had a good experience today. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened but I saw some crocuses starting to flower and it makes me feel happy to realise that warmer and lighter weather is on its way.

I leave today for a week of training out of town, so I can't get my daily fix of Trivia. I don't have a laptop, and I don't trust public computers, so I'll be anxious to get home Friday night.

Is is only me, or is anyone else tired of listening to network television meteorologists over-hype their weather forecasts? If this is to increase viewership, how good is their news show anyhow?
