We've just found out that my eldest daughter has been accepted at her first choice high school, so we're over the moon.

Really worried yesterday when my first ever quiz went online and live. I am chuffed now though as I have had some great feedback and response to it and I may even try to do another one now

Today I discovered that I had to leave a story here to complete a "daily challenge" so I came here and did this :-)

I spent the day yesterday with the love of my life-my 15 month old grandson. I know why they call them "Grand". There is notning that can compare!

As I sat down to think of something to say
That was of interest and happened today
I realised that Monday is a mundane time
So simply offer this juvenile rhyme
Bout a fellow called Ben and his mate who was called Bill
And the only thing in life that gave them a thrill
was to pose in flowerpots alongside little weed
and talk gibberish for children in need!

Right now I'm in the middle of doing a bit of Spring cleaning, before a friend visits this weekend. The sun is shining and it is cold outside, and I'm procrastinating again by doing things on the computer!

It's always a pleasure to live in a northern community and hear of snowstorms in the southern part of my province. Like today in Manitoba.

I'm getting a baby parrot at the end of this month. I've spent the past 6 months acquiring things that we'll need (cage, stands, etc). Last weekend my teenage daughter & I went to a thrift store to pick up some baby books & baby toys for the parrot. While we were picking up things & commenting on them, my daughter had to stop me as she was laughing...she said, "Mom, do you realize that we're in the baby section & you keep saying that we can put this or that in his 'cage', & read this book to him while he's in his 'cage'?" Maybe you had to be there, but it never dawned on me how it sounded to the other shoppers walking past us.

So my dog got out from the fence last night, and I had trouble finding him. I had to get into the car and look around for a while before I saw him playing in the next street over with some kids. I grabbed him, put him in the car, and brought him back home. When I asked him what he thought he was doing, he replied, "But Mommy! You've always told me to be indiscreet!"

I was shopping for some groceries today and an older woman came into the aisle i was in and i heard this strange sound, and at first i couldn't figure out what it was, thought perhaps it was a 4 year old singing, badly, and i looked again and it was the old lady wearing some headphones and singing 'Help me Rhonda', so tunelessly i couldn't believe it how bad it was, and thing is she saw me and just kept on singing, anyway.
I went in the next aisle and burst out laughing, it made my day.

We have been on holiday on Australia's Gold Coast for nearly three weeks. Unfortunately it has poured with rain most days. We have seen some of the opening round of this year's surfing championships, which was very exciting.

There was once a spider who was scared of people. Whenever he saw a person he scuttled under the nearest piece of furniture. He consulted a spider psychiatrist to try and overcome his phobia. The spide-chiatrist got the spider to the stage where he could look at pictures of people, then he sent him scuttling out into the wide world to try and look at some real people. Someone stepped on him. The End.

Thought I would do something easy today so I decided to count the number of Harry Potter questions on this site. Gave that up and now trying something a little easier. Looking for the last digit in Pi.

My dear husband wasn't feeling well the day after Valentines Day,was a little dizzy. So he goes to school and one minute after he gets out of the car has a mild heart attack. Fast forward he was airlifter to Lubbock the next day for a defib/pacemaker implant. Hes 45. And if he doesn't eat right and exercise he wont have to worry about his heart hes going to have to worry about me damaging him.

Sung to the tune of "O Tannenbaum":
Oh Louie dog, oh Louie dog,
Why did you jump into the bog?
You didn't see that gator there,
Now you're missing all your hair.
Oh Louie dog, oh Louie dog,
Why did you jump into the bog?
