If you are directed here by a FunTrivia challenge, please reply ONLY in this thread for the challenge. Only posts made here will count towards your challenge!

[ And no, you will be DIRECTED to come here. Posting here without having an already issued challenge will not result in anything! Still, you can post a story if you feel like it anyway ;) ]

If sent here, the title says it all. Your challenge is to share a story.

Tell us, briefly, about something funny or interesting that has happened to you recently. Or something sad. Or something scary. Or something exciting. Something funny or strange you saw?

If nothing funny or interesting or scary or exciting has happened, then write us a poem. Or a song. Or tell us a joke.

Or just tell us what you did today. Did all you accomplish was to brush your teeth? Did you fail to even do that? Do share...

Feeling grumpy today? Tell us what irritates you. What TV show can't you stand? What TV show are you watching that you like?

So go ahead, we're listening. The only rules are that you be polite and follow our very simple rules up above.

Tell us a story...

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Eraucci Last year I took a woodworking class - hand tools only. I had never done anything like that before, and even though I struggled, I really enjoyed the class. So I bought myself a workbench when they were on sale at Sears - saved a lot of $$.
And there it sat, in pieces, ready to be assembled, until last week. I finally put it together, and it is sitting with all my tools organized in the slots or on the shelf underneath, ready for me to make something. It looks great, very professional - and I'm too scared to start something because I don't want to mess anything up.
Time to take another class! :-)

Spring is in the air around here and miss winters ending as many miss the end of summer.

C30 Spring is indeed in the air............the birds are singing a dawn chorus, it is getting lighter earlier in the day, snowdrops, crocuses, primroses and a few early daffodils are in bloom in the garden..............and it's snowing!

Why is it that when I'm on holiday, I still wake up early as if I'm going to work?

gentlegiant17 Just remembered the time when i chased the Level 9 hardcore GC badge, there was only one day left before GC ended and i was on a trip to Paris. Ever played GC in a seedy, derelict internet cafe` with immigrants staring at you trying to figure out what is it that you do? If not, i recommend you try at least once.

My younger brother is in the Intensive Care Unit with a life threatening condition at the moment. The rest of the family are due to see the consultant tonight when we hope to have some good news on his condition.

Just noticed irishchic5's comment about the Candy Crush game. Yes, these games are really addictive. I recently bought a Google Tablet and have been engrossed in Candy Crush, Jewels Pro, Zookeeper, etc. I had no idea that computer games could be such fun.. They will never repalace Fun Trivia, though!

whippetfreak As you may tell from my name - I own & love Whippets! On Jan 29th this year I had to say goodbye to my little 4 year old with pancreatic cancer. I was devastated. On a much happier note - last week at Crufts her auntie - Jessica gained VHC in her class at Crufts. Whippets are Wonderful!

C30 whippetfreak - best dog I ever had was a whippet - sort of - well we knew his mother was a whippet, but what his father was was anyone's guess!

"Toby", my constant childhood companion, was black with a white chest, looked like a half-sized Labrador with a whippet's tail, face, legs and turn of speed!

Why is it that every time I return books to the library, an hour later they call to tell me a book I reserved is ready? It never fails. It's like a literary version of washing your car to make sure it rains.

Besides spending a great deal of time on FT today, I've gone to work to make some copies of all the material I'm sending to the federal IRS and state IRS (I finished doing my taxes yesterday), went to the post office to mail my tax returns, and gone to a car dealership to get my oil changed. I'm sitting in the waiting room right now, waiting for them to finish doing what they're doing . . . I feel as if I'm at the doctor's office . . . .

I just received Season 2 of "Louie" on Netflix. Unfortunately I haven't seen season 1 yet! I guess something got out of order.

sinty2 Story time again and it's hard to come up with something that might be interesting. So much easier to write a boring story. There really should be prizes given for both categories. We could start something right here. I think one of the most boring things to do is to watch fingernails grow. That is something that should only be permitted in prison. I hope EX Col. Russell Williams is doing a lot of that right now in his prison cell where he so rightfully belongs. He's no longer a Colonel and the Military burned all his uniforms. He still has his fingernails though, just so he can watch them grow.
