It's utterly amazing how petty and vicious people can be when they join an online community. Must be something about not being able to see who they are speaking to.|

Supersal...........HAD to be UK didn't it? Lol After a hard winter our road was full of potholes. In the fullness of time, around late Spring, along came council workers and began patching holes. As they were packing up to leave, my neighbour spoke to their foreman as there was still a large unfilled hole right opposite his driveway.|
"Sorry mate"!, replied the Foreman, "Says here" (showed clipboard worksheet), "Fill in 5 holes Kings Hey. We've filled in 5 holes".
"But what about that one", my neighbour said, pointing to the crater outside his gate.
"Sorry mate, not on my job sheet, you'll have to ring the council about it"
All together now............."Jobsworth, jobsworth, more than me jobsworth.......".

Seems like just the other day I was here complaining about my body falling apart - I don't remember how much of the saga I posted then - persistent cough followed immediately by right foot that wouldn't take any weight, followed (on the day I could finally walk relatively well) with a left knee that doesn't want to bend. It's still being unpleasant. But the dogs still need their walks - they don't accept excuses.|

I don't care where you're from, who you sleep with, or how you pray- just use your directional signals when you change lanes or turn! |

Several members from my team Phoenix Rising got together this summer, and we had an excellent time. We played games, laughed, told stories, and just got to know one another. I now can hear their voices while reading their comments on our message board. I would urge other teams to find a time and place that would be good for members to meet. Thank you, JCSon, for encouraging each of us to get together last month. I now feel like part of a family, not just a team. |

I met with three of my wonderful teammates at the British Museum in London last week. It was great to finally put faces to the names. Lovely girlies, all of them!|

Here in Texas we have just suffered thru our 18th consecutive day of 100+ degrees. Two years ago this date marked the 29th day. Last year the 15th. Anyone still wanna have a debate on the validity of global warming?|

Teacher47..........Fine if you are all from the same country, but not feasible when team consists of members from UK, USA, Australia, Mexico, Uruguay, Germany & Eire......as does ours!|

Mmm love the idea of getting together. I'm from Australia. Will look forward to someone subsidizing a jaunt to UK or USA. No? Never mind.|

It is great to be a member of a team but it is also great to be without a team - both ways have positives and negatives. Long as you remember this is a social site for playing games and take it in that vein. Happy quizzing everyone. |

I had a lengthy but productive series of phone conversations last night with the Apple Aftersales Dept. about a new but faulty iPod - they're replacing it immediately.|
That's a relief. Eight years ago, in similar circumstances, they stubbornly refused to repair or replace a faulty brand-new iPod, and I stubbornly refused to accept a part-discount on a replacement. For five months I repeatedly posted the faulty item to Apple with a note saying they could keep it, and they repeatedly posted it back to me with increasingly irate covering letters.
It was worth it though - after the iPod had gone back and forth 10 times - when they backed down and agreed to a full refund. In my moment of victory I sent a friend a two-word text message:
