Not Little House on the Prairie, although most of her works were about people from a specific area of the United States.

I wouldn't say any of her books (less than 10) were huge best sellers (and none of them were sequels of another), but I'm sure several of you folks have heard her name before : )

This book was made into a movie one year after her death.
