Subject: What Book Am I?
Date: Sep 02 12

This works like the movie and people threads. You ask yes/no questions, and the person who correctly guesses the book gets to pick the next one.

Books can be either fiction or non-fiction, must be classified as a novel or novella. This means no plays, poems, or short stories.

I will begin with:

What book am I?

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

That's the one. California author Laurie King's award-winning Mary Russell series. If you like historical mysteries, check it out; it's quite good.

Thanks, jabb. I enjoy Laurie King's books.

Now, historical fiction. Set in the not so distant past.

adams627 By not so distant, would that mean it's set after the year 2000? :)

was it ever made into a movie?

Stand alone. I think not a movie.

Its title is very close to the title of a play.

The book is written, by a female, as a diary/memoir.

The play (from which the title derives) is by Oscar Wilde.

Another book from this author is also a fictionalised diary that details life with English royalty.

This one details life with American "royalty". A family much visited by tragedy.
