American, not Koontz.
Romance-ish, not like those Fabio books with nothing but sex, but most of his books involve love, so more drama-ish than romance-ish.

Well, I'm not sure this particular book is romance at all, but the author, for the most part, writes romance-ish novels.

Only 2 in the series, but I'll go with "Winnie-the-Pooh" anyway. ;)

Not Winnie.
The author was born in England but spent most of her life in Australia.
There's been a ballet and several musicals based on the characters. I don't know of a film.
