Subject: What Book Am I?
Date: Sep 02 12

This works like the movie and people threads. You ask yes/no questions, and the person who correctly guesses the book gets to pick the next one.

Books can be either fiction or non-fiction, must be classified as a novel or novella. This means no plays, poems, or short stories.

I will begin with:

What book am I?

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Oh, I missed that part of the rules, too!

Why can't we use plays? :P JK, I understand, it's the rules. ;)

To explain: I excluded plays, specifically, for a reason. Plays and books are different art forms. Play are intended to be acted out in front of an audience, and books (novels/novellas) are intended to be read (and thus, not acted out). I do think that another thread cold be started for plays though! There are so many good plays out there. And I do love plays! This thread, however, I intended to be just for books. Which is why I titled it "What Book Am I?"

Ok, but Upstart guessed the right play; it was "The Crucible," so Upstart, your turn.

OK
This is not a play, and it is not an opera either, although its title is very close to that of a very well known opera. It's a crime fiction, part of a series, from the 90s. It is somewhat of a pastiche and makes many references to the similarly named opera. Author now dead.
