Topic: What Book Am I?

This works like the movie and people threads. You ask yes/no questions, and the person who correctly guesses the book gets to pick the next one.

Books can be either fiction or non-fiction, must be classified as a novel or novella. This means no plays, poems, or short stories.

I will begin with:

What book am I?

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

No, this is a very well-known series, and its author is pretty much an icon in the genre in which he wrote.

"The Godwulf Manuscript", Robert B. Parker's first "Spenser" novel?

It is Parker's first Spenser book. I wish I'd thought of Ed McBain first, though, I loved those 87th Precinct novels, too.

Indeed he does and very well, I am currently reading the 17th (and most recent) novel in his terrific series.
I love his protagonist!

I have the distinct feeling a good many of us have similar tastes in fiction. Is your book, by any chance, the first Jack Reacher novel, "Killing Floor"?

SPOT ON!!! WOW!

"Killing Floor" it is... I am currently 3/4 through his 17th, "A Wanted Man".
