I've loved Pigs ever since I was a kid in Florida and a neighbor had one as a pet. It was the smartest and most affectionate animal I've ever encountered (the dogs I've had are about equal). Unfortunately, I also love bacon and pork chops. I'm not a vegetarian and haven't really ever considered becoming one but I have to admit it's heartbreaking to see such wonderful animals treated the way they are.

I happened onto this video on Youtube which is what prompted this thread.

As one that has raised hundreds of pigs, the only cute ones are the babies. Try rounding up escaped pigs. Just when you think they are being nice and they are going back in the pen like you want them to, they break and scatter in every direction. Do this several times and you start hoping to see another pig as long as you live. We did have a miniature pig and she was kind of cute while she was little and she was very docile.

I like pigs too, especially as slices of bacon served with eggs. LOL. Seriously though being married to one puts me off a bit.

I love pigs. They are so comical when they run and their big ears flap around. Their babies are one of the cutest of baby animals and the stripy ones look like Everton Mints! I have heard that they are very intelligent animals but if you fell down dead in their pen, they would just eat your remains!

Shiningstar7 I like pigs too, they can swim. I've heard of one saving a person from drowning before. I will not eat pork or any sort, they are scavengers, therefore they are not healthy to eat.
