I don't care for either, but thanks for asking. I know nothing about One Direction, wouldn't know them if I saw them. I've disliked Bieber ever since I heard that insipid song with which he became famous.

I stand corrected. After seeing One Direction on t.v. (twice) my vote would go to them. I don't know what the songs were but I liked them, and they didn't act full of themselves.

Pop music is possibly my greatest weakness. I just have a soft spot for something catchy and light. With that said, I actually love One Direction, though I haven't wandered far enough into that to own shirts with their faces on them or anything.
I just told a friend yesterday that my whole circle of friends was very lucky that I'd played it safe when Bieber first rose in popularity. I've heard the music and it's cute, he's kind of adorable, and still much talked about (though not always positively) in the places I frequent online. I made a point not to let myself get drawn in, though, so not exactly a case of Bieber fever and definitely a vote for One Direction.
