This is all very exciting as I've never written a quiz before. I'm not too sure how to go about it, but when I went to "create new quiz" and to the general section I got this message:
You cannot create quizzes here at this time.
This category is very busy right now. This category is only accepting submissions from players who have created a quiz in another category first.
Am I doing something wrong?

DaisiJ, that should not be a problem. All you need to do is create a quiz in another category, and afterwards you will be able to change categories at any time.

DaisJ, this is probably due to the overwhelming amount of quizzes that've been sent to the queue over the past couple of weeks. Tigasrule is right in that having one other quiz online would allow you to submit there; the system just has it so that first-timers can not submit to it for the time being.
This will change, though. We just couldn't say when. It'll most definitely open back up when there are less submissions in the queue.

DaisJ, you can make your template in some other category, and write your quiz. By the time you are done, chances are the queue will have opened up and you can change categories and submit. This way, you'll be forced to take your time and check everything, and take my word for it, that is time well spent - it pays off.

I have finally made it to 7 quizzes in 7 categories and 2 small crosswords...so I am up to 90...3 more quizzes in the works in 3 more categories....slowly getting there.

Ahhh! People are already submitting 3! Starting to get major queue anxiety as I'm still on #1 and I started 11 days ago! Small issue brought it back but I really want to move on!

Submitted again-- my quiz was rejected the first time. Not surprised as I rushed it and tried to get out of extra work. This time I put a bit more effort into fixing it.

I've just finished creating my first ever quiz and tried to enter it under the General category (as instructed for brand new writers under Adventures in Authoring) and have also got this:
'You cannot create quizzes here at this time.
This category is very busy right now. This category is only accepting submissions from players who have created a quiz in another category first.'
With so many people entering quizzes I can see why there's a long wait, but I don't seem to have the choice of writing a quiz in another category??
