The time has come to test your mettle, new and prolific authors alike. Come one, come all! FunTrivia's Adventures in Authoring are beginning!

http://www.funtrivia.com/authorthis.cfm

Use this thread to discuss your progress, talk about your quizzes for the game, or ask for help. The Author's Lounge is a wonderful place to both learn and challenge yourself, so if you happen to get stuck, don't panic. It's why we're here!

Remember not to reveal the mysteries of the game-- while everyone's adventures may take them in different directions, the mysteries only have one solution.

Oh, and most importantly, enjoy! FunTrivia wouldn't be what it is without players and writers!

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

As I was waking up this morning, I sleepily went to funtrivia first thing and there was a quiz template with red corrections all over it. I had done a quiz in my sleep, submitted it, and - even though a few questions were okay - most of them were gibberish. It was about putting Christmas decorations away, but the title (which I can't remember) was about something else entirely. Of course, I then ACTUALLY woke up and realized it was only a dream. What a relief.

True story.

Question is: Should I really be on funtrivia right now or putting Christmas decorations away?

I don't know, nannywoo, but I'm thinking you have some issues that aren't going to be cured by putting away some decorations. :D

I have similar dreams all the time, nannywoo!

Sometimes, I'll dream of a terrible correction note, dream about each and every question I had to fix, and a constant struggle with the editors. Then I wake up, and check, and it's online without any errors.

Alternately, I dream of getting an EC, and am thrilled. To my disappointment, it was a dream, and I have corrections galore. ;)

There was one time I dreamed of something I needed to correct in a question, so I went to the quiz, and it did indeed need correcting! Spooky.

I also had a dream where I was allowed to make an 8 question quiz that went online with 2 blank questions with easy points because the answers were blank, blank, blank and "answer". :P

Rossian...I am sooooo sorry you found out...I had been trying to hide my craziness from you...I guess you found out when I called you Russian...don't worry...I am a nice crazy:)

Actually, being crazy is normal. Therefore, being normal is crazy.

In which case, we're all crazy, which makes all us all normal. But, as stated, being normal is crazy, which, as discussed, we all are. But if we're all crazy, that's normal, but it's not normal to be normal, it's crazy. You're crazy if you aren't crazy, which would make you not normal. If you're not normal, you're crazy, but being crazy is normal, so how are you not normal by being crazy? Therefore, a crazy person is normal, and normally crazy people are crazily normal. Normal is crazy, but it's all aunts and uncles.

As Noddy Holder said, 'Mama Weer All Crazee Now', which is far easier to understand than Salami's ravings.

It's taken me over two months to write my first AinA quiz but now it's finally on line. That's taking it slow to the extreme. I'll have a long hard think on how to proceed now.

Got such a nice compliment today that my latest quiz was the best quiz ever written by anyone at any time ever since the dawn of time.
It was from me. I just wondered if one can send oneself a message.

That's hilarious, Alexis. I've done similar things as well. I once had a conversation with myself. "Sup", "Nothin'", "I liked your quiz", "Which one"? etc. :)

I did my first two pretty quickly, but the third one is dragging.

I impressed myself with how many I got done in November, then slowed down in December. It's picking up this month but I've started work on my 50th quiz - woohoo! - so my next A in A quiz will have to wait a few days.

I live with two cats, so I talk to them during the day...even when they're outside, and it's NOT a sign of getting old, 'cause I've always done it. If I find mysefl doing it while driving I fiddle with the radio and pretend I'm singing.
