Ooh, fancy message. I have it too. That helps a lot. That way we know if we correctly met the goal before waiting for who knows how long to get it online... So at least if we fail we know and can fix it. :P

You're on the money, Tiga-- using a mixture of categories is perfect. Just make sure with Thematic Fun that they all relate to the same basic topic (eg. all of the questions are in different categories, but they have something linking them like 'cats' or 'eggs' or something).

I have an question: having not done a fitb quiz before, if the answer can be only one thing, which seems the norm for it, is it still necessary to put additional info in the usual spot? I've noticed some that don't give any added info.

Info is still required. The exceptions you're referring to are either very old quizzes or they're Brain Teaser-type quizzes.
Remember to check the guidelines in your specific category for any additional bits of info about FITB. For instance, we don't allow punctuation for FITB. :)

I suggest taking a look at quizzes put online within the last couple of years, in the category you are writing for. If there are any there with sunglasses, play them. It's one of the best ways to get a feel for what is required, and the various ways to meet the requirements.

I was going to post to say that Brain Teasers now require interesting info too, but pollucci beat me to it. Thank you :) Tizzabelle and I decided it would be a good idea to ask for interesting info when we took on the job of editing Brain Teasers a little while ago. It need not be extensive.
I'd also like to mention that I've been pulled into this adventure myself and have created a template for the first writing task. This looks like being great fun!

I'm definitely a tortoise rather than a hare when it comes to quiz writing, so I never expected to be among the first to complete this, but this has definitely given me the impetus I needed. I should be submitting my first quiz later today! So that'll be 10 done for QWM...delighted.
