What is the difference between "within 2 days" and "1 to 2 days" in the list of queue sizes. Are the ones that say "within" faster than the ones that give a bottom and top estimate?

I think the keyword is 'estimate'. There's no way we could say that one or the other is faster. It all depends on the types of submissions sent to the queue and how fast they're typically waiting/being looked at.

I understand. But is there a difference between "within 2 days" and "1 to 2 days"? I'm thinking there must be, or it wouldn't be printed as such.

'Within' looks to be on the lower end of the spectrum. Considering the quizzes in there, they'll be looked at in a shorter time because the turnover is relatively constant throughout the day.

'1 or 2' looks to be a bit longer because there seems to be at least a one day wait, just because there are enough quizzes in the queue to keep them waiting.

But like I said, none of it is set in stone; that entire page should be taken with a grain of salt. Humanities, for instance, says '4 to 8', but the longest-waiting quiz is tagged for a specific editor who hasn't had the chance to take a look at it yet, so it skews the wait time.
