Correct, Jakeroo. I picked it because...well, everyone knows it. Pretty much. :) You're up...

Oh dear, sorry for the delay, I actually proposed that guess more in jest than anything else LOL. Thanks "M" : )
okay, next up is a song from the 80s. Female singer with a somewhat "unusual" voice.

Hmm, unusual as in "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman?
Is your voice unusual because it is 'masculine'?

LOVE Tracy!! But sorry, not her. I don't consider this person's voice to be "masculine" at all (there is no denying she's female) but rather perhaps in the same "unique" way that Rod Stewart's voice might be considered. (that is not a gender statement, more about style/pitch).

Does the 'rasp' have anything to do with it? Say, Tina Turner?

I am a 1930s song, remade by too many to name, with many versions varying the lyrics to fit with the singer/singer's tastes.

Older.
And, similar to "I've Got You Under My Skin", its most famous cover is from the 60s.

No and no.
One if the "remakers" was Bob Dylan (though this was not the most famous cover).
