Thanks s_s / jolana. I had thought nipper before shaver, actually, guess I should have put both down.
I've pretty much never done these before though... managed to get through one of the above links slowly with the hints but it's harder without the letters. :p
No idea on the others, sorry.

Yes, all caps. Oops. Lol
I saw the cryptic quizzes in brain teasers. I played a few today. Great fun. :) turns out that most were already played though, back when I played every quiz in brain teasers. I'll keep paying. :)
And I'll definitely have to try the other link. A actual crossword will be fun. Maybe I should check FT for cryptic crosswords too...

The FT crosswords are much easier as they contain a clue to the answer. Salami, it sounds like you leave, don´t, please, I didn´t mean to offend you:(

10 One might get hooked by the old man (6)
Perhaps this is not a cryptic at all but a straightforward clue about "Old Man and the Sea." If so, the answer could be MARLIN.

I like the Daily Telegraph cryptics, which are not as hard as some (but plenty hard enough for me - I seldom get one completely right). They are available as inexpensive books at amazon and elsewhere.

I also enjoy the Daily Telegraph cryptics mdurnanj. I believe there are different compilers each day, the puzzles appear to be easier at the beginning of each week then gradually increasing in difficulty by Fridays!

Oh, jolana, I was not offended, and I'm staying right here. :)
Sorry I seemed offended. That was not my intent. Hugs!

I don´t know how I invented it. Lack of English? Playing long after midnight? Oh, well:) I should definitely read twice before posting something.
Anyway, except for No 10, which is incorrect, it´s done.
There will be the second half soon.

10 One might get hooked by the old man (6)
Could this be GAFFER a slang term for an old man?
A gaff is also used in angling to hook a fish.

I was quite good at yesterday´s Cryptic Brain Twist, as I knew the topic of the results - flowers. I made a funny mistake - instead of foxglove I had wolfsbane. Yes, I know that hand protection is not a bane, though something is better than nothing:)

"21 Beg to given knowledge of the devil (7)"
I think this one is IMPLORE.
Implore being beg, knowledge being lore, devil being imp.
